What is your preferred method for administering cannabis? Other might include topical oils, creams....pharmaceutical cannabis products etc.

Just did my first forum poll, too easy. I really hope to get heaps of responses, I'm particularly interested in people's success with vaporizers, they give brilliant results but are a bit of a hassle to use.

I almost exclusively use my Magic Flight Launch Box. I've only touched my old pipe once since getting it.

I still use a little glass pipe. It only cost $25 and I've had it for two years. Trusty little bugger! I have a vaporgenie but don't use it all that much. Every once in a while I smoke a blunt or a joint or use a dugout. I haven't pulled a tube or used a gravity bong in years! And the last time I ate anything was in Amsterdam many years ago! I haven't been able to try any of the topicals yet.

My preferred method is eating it, however it's not the most practical. So it's only once in a while. Generally just roll a joint.

Thus far I only smoke in a J or sometimes eat it in baked goods. I have heard that vapes are the only way to go, but am not too excited about spending $600 on one. Does anyone know if there are other cheaper vapes that work as well?

Also does anyone know how hot (temp setting) the vape should be used if using it for pain??

GG

What is that?, sounds great ;)

I can't say enough good things about it. You need to grind the weed into finer bits (I got a Sharpstone grinder on eBay for $20). More surface area means better vaping. Scroll down a bit on that page and check out the pic right below the 'Buy Now' button. Pictured there is what you get for $100. I spent $10 on an extra set of batteries, since the order had free shipping, and it was worth it. I've heard of some people having problems getting other batteries to work with it, but I know it can be done. It comes with a lifetime warranty (even if you break it).

This looks pretty cool! When I can cough up the dough, I might give it a try!

I put bong (water pipe) but since you're curious about vaporizers, I thought I'd mention I've used a Volcano quite a few times. They're super high quality and wonderful instruments, but what I found for myself is that I couldn't tell how much I was smoking. I just never got used to it to the point where I knew about how high I was going to get. I personally don't like getting *TOO* high, just a nice light buzz and I know how much to smoke with my water pipe. But I'm sure if I shelled out the big bucks for a Volcano, I would come to love it in time.

Deluxe Daddy vaporizer is the best thing that has ever been invented to consume weed. It is very easy to use and alot less hassle than other methods. Cost about $180.00 (cdn) and worth every single penny. It has a smooth taste and it doesn't burn just vaporizes.

I've just started smoking MJ, I use a glass pipe, but would love to get a water pipe or vaporizer.

I did a lot of reading & comparing before spending the money on a vaporizer & it was between the Iolite & the Launch Box. Because of the reviews, I went with the Launch Box. (it's also half the price, although recently I did find the iolite on overstock.com for like $140). I don't know if maybe I'm just not using it right or what, but I'm not sold on it.

Mostly I feel like it was just using a lot more herb and not producing the benefit of pain relief. I got a buzz, yes, but even that wasn't the same as standard combustion.

I have found eating it can take me out of a flare within a week so I put that. But It doesnt help with my pain so I vaporize with an Iolite vaporizer $130 only one on the market with a full warranty and its portable

in my research most ppl are saying that the effects are stronger when using the launch box, also it lasts longer, compared to combustion. it mite be the temperature your vapouring at.

Maybe that's it. I can't seem to find the right process for maximum benefit! :) With the Launch Box you're blind to temperature, so it's a guessing game. Another reason I should've chosen the iolite! Que cera cera.

All of the above! Haha. :) Smoking for immediate relief - pipes are good for everyday use but if I'm really stressed, I like joints - water bongs filled with ice are nice and smooth but I always take too big of a hit. I don't like blunts, because of the tobacco, and they just seem unnecessarily big. Vaporizing is good too, and much healthier - Volcano vaporizers are my favorite, but I also like the bag-less systems. I have an Iolite, but the stem broke off, so I haven't used it in a while. If you get yours at a head shop like I did, there's no warranty. :( But I found that as nice as it was to have a portable vape, it didn't do nearly as good of a job as a "normal" vape or a pipe. Edibles are great but sometimes give me stomach-upset. I'd have to say that glycerin tincture is my favorite, because it works fast, I don't have to smoke, and I can bring it/use it anywhere easily.

I still prefer smoking or vaporizing, because the effects are almost immediate, and I can adjust my dosage. Lately, though, I've been experimenting with edibles and made a VERY strong batch of brownies... almost TOO strong!! I still had a little bit of the potent butter leftover, so I made chocolate pudding - used a total of 4 tbsp for 8 servings of pudding. And I still get a good buzz! I'd love to have a few of my own plants, and then be able to make a constant supply of edibles...

I am an ex smoker so a joint is my favorite way, but I bought an Iolite Vaporizer in Feb and I love it!!! It is a great hand warmer and it lets out little or no smoke so I quite enjoy using at the movie theatre!! It is nice to have the instant relief available anywhere and anytime! :)
