What is YOUR weather like today??

That's all we can do Buff.My hubby's being difficult re. the isolation.I'm going to do all the shopping, scripts etc and he will just have to be satisfied with driving me around. At least we can get on the bikes now.Police are moving folk on,kids playing footie etc. and even those sitting in outdoor areas enjoying the sun.Be grateful for what we've got for now.

I resupplied yesterday and for a Saturday I have never seen the place so dead, very few people shopping. Picking up my order of online grocery shopping was fast and easy, the workers at the store were very friendly and helpful. It apears that many are taking this threat seriously now.

I'm delighted, Carol. Only thing is it's so windy and freezing out there i can't even get anything done in it for now. Anyway, i'm having the next Spring clean and major clear out. Unfortunately i can't take stuff to charity shops as they are closed and now household waste and recycling is closing. I'll have to put with my pile of junk for duration. I can understand your hubby's worry and boredom at having to stay in. I suspect you too have received 'that' letter from the govt telling us not to go out at all for 12 weeks. I mean at stage 4 grade 3C i don't want to stay in. I have far less pain now and would love to go out and about. Oh well.

Stay cheerful! (just joking)

Quite a pleasant day thus far . 29* the max, but there is a little nip ( not Yoko) in the air , indicating that autumn is on the threshold. Still self- isolating, but need to grab a few shopping items later. Schizophrenia is a useful affliction in times like thi;, there is always someone to chat with.

There have been no further reports of any cases of CV 19 here , so I guess that we , while being cautious can be very grateful thus far. People who have been mandatorily placed in quarantine on arrival at Sydney airport are being housed in 5 * hotels , some overlooking the harbour . At one of the five hotels the room rate is $233 AUD per night,. As you would expect , some of the 'detainees" are complaining about the food! At least they have a free roof over their heads for 14 days and a full bellies too. Not so for the homeless that bunker down in the city street and forage for their food!

A little more overcast today, some places have had hail and snow. At the moment it's cold and the wind doesn't help. Definitely another day in the bungalow. God, i would give anything to go out. I could nip to the chemist and pick up my prescription but the place is probably the village epicentre. I also have a craving for an easter egg. How ridiculous is that? Just haven't had one in years but i fancy a fancy one. Oh well, us crohnies can always imaging what we can't have.

Some early showers, quite heavy at times. We reached 29c this afternoon , so quite warm. Parcel express dropped a new modem off today. Must have been sent by the young guy that came out to check my connections and told me my modem was stuffed. I got my old modem operating and I am still using it. I have not been going out of the house but I will have to go out on Wednesday. I have to go to the skin cancer clinic plus I am down to two rolls of toilet paper. I really need to go out and get some fresh air. Ron.

Just been to the chemist myself Ron. I phoned first as a lady who works there goes past my place every lunch time and then back then home. Could she drop them off for me? No. Apparently not. So off i go to get the stuff myself. They know my health but she can't drop off as she passes by. Typical. I enjoyed the fresh air but too cold to loiter about chatting to people at a distance.,

The guy that dropped my parcel off literally dropped it on the stairs and took off. We have been really lucky with the virus. Nearly all the cases we have came in from overseas. The government has been right on top of it and has enforced separation right from the start. I wash my hands twenty times a day. The only hard part is to get the 20-30 year olds to take it seriously. We have only around 4000 cases Australia wide with 18 deaths. Our new cases are slowing down considerably and there is hope that the curve is on the way down. Only essential services are operating and the rest of us have been told to stay at home and no more than two in a group. In the past three weeks the govt has spent over 300 billion on supporting those out of work. I hope all of their shutdowns are working as well as they seem to be. Most of our deaths have been in the 70-80 age group. Thank goodness I don't turn 70 till next week. Ron.

At least you had a change of scenery Di., There's no way Les will stay indoors for more than 24hrs.I went for a supermarket shop early this morning while he did what he always does, sat in the car with a thermos of coffee.I'm being as careful as I
I can be. regarding hygene. Then we had an hour on the bikes which was a real treat there being very little traffic or pedestrians.A cold bright day today.

Haha, love that post above Carol. I can understand your husband. It felt wonderful to get to the chemist (which happens to be just along the road), but just to be out was so nice. I mean i wasn't challenging the supermarket. How are they at the moment Carol? We have a lovely gent along the road who comes around offering to shop for us. I asked him to get some cat food when he called on Saturday but was so worried cos he didn't return. He did the next day, late morning, and i thought he'd had an RTA or perhaps set about by a bunch of hostile Vicky Pollards from Little Britain. I will venture out once a fortnight i think.

8c and grey today so staying in.Les has gone for a cycle. He's a bit moody but only 10wks to go (maybe) so he'll just have to get on with it like everyone else.I've been to Morrisons at 8am the last two Mondays. It's a struggle for my innards so I get up at 6 and take Loperamide. It's been ok.Yesterday there was a queue of 6ft seperations but once it got moving it was fine. Some empty shelves still and of course a 6ft gap at the tills.I just put everything back in the trolley and bagged up out of the way.I have latex gloves which I wear while shopping and disinfect them when I get home. I wonder if there'll be dancing in the streets when it's all over ? We'll be throwing loo rolls like streamers.hahaha

Don't worry,. I spent nearly seven years in Broadmoor Hospital , both as a student and staff nurse. Those the were the days ( proof available) of Incarceration, with no lack of food , loo rolls and plenty of 'exercise-' for the none faint- hearted. The Butlins of Crowthorne! Whatever you do,, do NOT start ticking days off a calendar. Just remember that those days can never be replaced. God , or your choice of advice from the late and unique Dave Allen be with you all. It's dark here and I have no idea what is going on outside................. ZZZZZZ

I'm'no expert, but you technically should be 'safe' until next week,Ron. Happy Birthday in advance and welcome to the totally reflective but , minimally productive seventies. Rest on your Laurels, unless she objects. Cheers. M

Well the sun has returned and it's warmed up. I have a whole cluster of tulips about to burst open. So looking forwards to those coming out and the leaves on the trees are just showing green. It's days like this i wish i was going somewhere special and seeing around and about as Spring develops. Seem to have what i think is a Muntjac deer in my front garden. they certainly aren't hedgie footprints.

Fancy working there, Merv. I lived my first 10 years in Bracknell so i know that neck of the woods, but not actually Broadmoor. Must have been bloody interesting working there Merv.

Its spring, the trails are useless at this point about 2 weeks earlier than normal, and with self issolation its going to be a very long spring. I am not going to use the substitution option when grocery shopping online on my next order. The burger substitution was awful, but the neighbor in need was grateful when I gave the boxes to them. They said if they didn't like it, their dog will and save a bit on dog food.

Yes, Spooky, life at the old, as it was named ;Broadmoor Hospital for the Criminally Insane did have some sticky moments. Every item of crockery and cutlery waa stamped or engraved with BCLA ( Broadmoor Criminal Asylum). I guess this was to stop the staff pinching it. Anything that was not nailed down was apt to 'disappear! I left there in early 1977 to emigrate to OZ and continued working in the same field , interspersed with with becoming a '"General' RN , in addition to Psych . A mister/ sister, without a limp wrist! Broadmoor was key to having a successful nursing career before transitioning to the Probation Service in Sydney.

When in the Uk , I have visited the hospital a couple of times, but is a very different place now that the lunatics have taken it over.

I lived in Bracknell during the time I was at Crowthorne. My dear old Mum was from an old Brackenellian family that lived at Round Hill. Granddad Gates was the manager of Drake and Mounts which had a depot close to the Railway Station. In my younger days I played cricket for the town , Binfield and eventually Cranbourne. A trip down memory lane.

It is still around 28/9 degrees here ,but that is about average for this time of year. I must admit that I do sometimes miss the English Spring sometimes,. I hope that you are managing to cope with the restrictions that have been placed upon you. Can't b e fun , burt needs to be done, I guess.

While we can get out for essential items , medicine food etc Pam and I are keeping a low profile . Living on an island (Macleay Penal colony) does provide some natural isolation, and as yet there have been no reported cases here, or on the other Southern Moreton Bay island.

Keep safe and enjoy that sun.Cheers, Merv.

'

Ah, yes, i knew Binfield and all around there. I lived in Harmans Water, my grandparents lived in Wild Ridings and i have really fond memories of that area. Wish i had had an interesting career. Love that the loonies have taken over the asylum. I'm sure i would have felt a little threatened by some though.

Another dull day today. Not so cold out in the garden and hopefully i can soon sit in the garden at dusk and listen to all the wonderful birds.

Not a bad day, calm and cloudy.Went for a cycle down to the quay for fish, but all closed.I have some in the freezer so no matter for now.
The car parks are empty as entrances are barricaded and walkers/cyclists we few and far between. What a treat.Every cloud has a silver lining, and as Hannibal Lecter would say,if the food runs out we still have each other...

Just went down to the family clinic and got my flu shot. It has been an education to see the staff there gradually increase their precautions. I am glad that they have been able to put in protection for the medical staff . Without them we would be stuffed. I try to go out as little as possible. Being in public at the moment is quite strange . People know the rules to stay safe but once they get out doing things like shopping they concentrate on what they are doing and forget all the rules particularly in spaceings when lining up at checkouts. Stay safe everyone we really cannot afford to catch the virus or the flu. Ron.

11c but a chilly wind.....I stood in a queue for 40mins at the chemist for Les's script,There was 6ft distancing but the chap in front of me spent the whole time on his phone pacing backwards and forwards.Consequently the queue moved the same to keep our distance from each other. It was a bit like doing the Conga.

Colder today, no sun. Having the boring day in today. Can't be bothered with shops either, Ron. Chemist said if i phone them for my chemo meds they will post them to me which is great. The local chemist isn't so nice. Our staff don't seem to have much equipment for protection here in the UK. My only protection is extra D3 with K2 and Zinc and my bungalow. Hope we all survive this. Stay safe all.

My GP kindly faxed 'flu vaccine scripts through my chemist. Picked the same up yesterday and 'stabbed' my wife ! She,also, once being upon a time , a nurse retaliated and returned the favour. Good to get this over and done with, particularly under the circumstances we all face.

Quite warm today, time to tend to my collection of experimental baby monster chillies. So far two Carolina Reapers, two Yellow Scorpion and two Ghosts are developing nicely. Not that I will use them, although I do love curry.I've found with CD that any food, spicy or otherwise causes the inevitable. So I intend to go out with a bang, Once 80 years is emerging into your life iron sights it is time to live dangerously, now that the toilet roll availability situation has improved.

I can just imagine you with jabs at each other, Merv. I couldn't give an injection to anyone.

We are supposed to have some kind of hot sunny weather, however, no sign of that yet. I'm hoping to get my water feature set up. I also have a garden seat arrived through the post. I shall attempt to get that together and sit outside to appreciate my water feature.

Weather wise , It' still a lovely day! Lyricts? Surely someone will know. Actually , while the south of Oz prepares for cold snap., it is still warm and humidish here.Spooky, I have given thousands of intramuscular (IMI), Subcut ( subcutaneous ) and IV infusions over the years. It is easy,. Just Close your eyes and feel sorry for the victim! As always , I jest. If my water feature was open to public display., I would be writing this from a secure environment.
You take care now,
Cheers,
M

Beware of post packs bearing do it yourself projects Di. I did not leave the house today tho it was a pleasant day. There was a couple of outdoor markets in Brisbane today. Lots of people behaving badly. They just don't get it. I really don't know what the outcome of this virus will be, At first they said it would be no worse than a common cold. Everyone says we'll get thru this. We still don't have a cure for the common cold! Ron.

I couldn't agree m,ore, Lizzy.

We finally have this lovely sunny weather and i'm delighted. I have put together a little garden seat (well, i've got to finish it off today as i ran out of energy yesterday) so i'm hoping to sit in the sun this after noon.

What a shame we can't go out and enjoy it. Stay safe all of you.

The natives were revolting over here today. It was beautiful weather and thousands decided to hit the gold coast beaches. 250 turned out at a gold coast industrial estate to drag race do burnouts and get drunk. I can see drastic action being taken by those in authority. We were getting good results when we stayed at home . We only had 9 new cases in Qld today. In a couple of weeks it could be a different scenario. Ron.

It's been a nice day here and we went for a cycle for an hour or so......More people walking around than should be but it was expected despite NHS and Government pleading for day trippers to stay at home.I noticed a difference in traffic noise to the coast from early morning. There's no where to park and nowhere to eat and no open public toilets, so I expect some will be annoyed....Shame that !!!

Finding public toilets has become difficult with all the restaurants and many stores closed, I can see this leading to sanitation issues when I saw the litter in the parking lots earlier in the week. Just staying home to limit exposure, the days are very long. Once the snow goes down some more I'll finally be able to start work cutting firewood.

The snow is only in the mountains here currently. I have cautious optimism that we're holding our own here. It's nice to be back, I first had a cyber attack, then I either had, "The Rona" or flu. There is no way to be tested locally. I'm feeling better now, thank goodness. It's 9C here and cloudy with a chance of rain or snow flurries. I'll take rain please. :)

Good to see you back mack and as well as you can be mate, we have all missed your input. Stay well! It is another beautiful day here tho I really feel for the people of Vanuatu with a cat 5 cyclone about to hit the islands. They are removing the covid 19 rules regarding safe distancing so people can attend evacuation centres,,,dammed if you do,dammed if you don't. Surreal day for me. It is my 70 th birthday. At 48 I was told I had a maximum or three years left due to late stage colon cancer and now that I am 70 I am now in the critical age group for much poorer survival from cv 19. I don't care I made to 70 and that makes it a happy birthday. Best wishes to all, Ron.

Happy birthday, Ron. Thanks for being so kind. If you want a present, just tell me what kind of bait or line you like. I would be happy to send it on Amazon.

Sorry to double post and to be off topic, but hell yeah my friend! -3 here with clear skies.

Yes, it's great to have you back Mack. Keep healthy if poss though. Definitely not -3C here. There is absolutely no chill in the air at all. Sun is out and so i shall sit on my new seat in the garden and think about putting together my water feature. I'm hoping to attract birds to bathe in the dishes of water.

Happy Birthday Ron. Wish i could get there. You never know, if you got past 3 year diagnosis i think i might start counting years myself. It will be one official diagnosis year in 4 days time. With my cancer and stage i have officially got a 17% chance of 5 years. I know i had this for one year minimum before diagnosis, just put up with it determined to get preventative done. Oooops! 3 years for me too Ron, lol. I just want to make the most of each day now. All my day trips out with friends have been cancelled, supposed to spend another 12 weeks in. Omg, i'm not going to manage it.

Makes me a tad sick to think some countries like S Korea have managed their coronavirus so well that they have very little issue with deaths. I just wish it will blow over. Probably as soon as people are unlocked down (i know) we will all be out getting it. I'm not sure about this lockdown. What if the cats get it? They have been infected including zoo animals in the US.

When you look at what cats eat Di ,I doubt if the virus would hurt them. It has been a beautiful autumn here. As a result people have been behaving badly, As I expected the gold coast beaches were closed and people have been told to stay put or else. Thanks for the offer Mack but I have about 25 rods and reels, a freezer full of bait and burley and no opportunity to use them. We in the 65 plus group have more or less been told to stay at home. we have not been ordered yet but I am sure that if one of us does anything stupid it will happen.
Don't stress too much Di survival often happens whilst you are not watching. After a while I was too busy working to notice how long I had survived. Hugs Ron.

14c and a lovely day.....for queueing outside the supermarket at 8am,It went without a hitch AND they had loo rolls which I didn't need so left on the shelves....smug or what ?

Happy Birthday Ron...If any of us knew how we could have a virtual party...…..🙃

Happy Birthday Ron, like wine life gets better with age despite our clunky bodies, we keep plodding along. Good to see you back with the bunch here Chris your presence was missed. -2C and sunny, expecting some snow overnight. It might be spring given the time of year, but the good weather is still a few weeks off. Usually by mid May the real spring begins in earnest, however I did see two chipmunks running about on top of the snow this morning.

Another wasted magnificent day, lots of people told off or fined for not behaving sensibly. There was a racket upstairs this morning. The upstairs ladies daughter bought all the grand kids around to visit granny. People are dumb. I stayed at home except for a short shop for essentials this afternoon. I'm going to have to charge the car battery soon ,it is getting so little use. Stay safe everyone. Ron.

Lovely day here. Got the first of my Tulips out. Daffs are dying off now, but there's lots more blossom on trees about. I haven't been out far... honest. Got my call from the Govt office today. I'm going to get my package, a caller, and someone to come and help me as the arthritis in my hands has been a tad crap lately. Struggling with popping pills out of foil at the moment. Mind, should i entertain the risk of a carer who obviously does this for a living. Maybe i will just cancel that. There's more chance they have it working with vulnerables.

I hope you get someone to help, D. It really sounds like there are too many imbiciles that wish to defy logic, (here as well). Sunny with a slight breeze here... 12c in the shade. It's almost T shirt and shorts weather in my opinion. I have plenty of work to do so it won't be hard to social distance. I try to look on the bright side... I did say try. Cheers!

another lovely sunny and mild day.I've just been inspecting last summers clothes and wondering if it's time to put the winter gear away.
Maybe another week or two......After isolation.....friend calls in for coffee and asks "where's your husband "
Me "in the garden"....friend "I didn't see him"....Me "You have to dig down a bit "

It's up to 18c now and lots of shorts and T's going up and down the street.Too many actually.Had a quick visit to the shops and it wasn't too bad considering. There's a lot more car parks locked up and all the benches are tied with tape to stop us having a nice sit down.
I agree Dianne, thanks for books,of which I have about 50 to catch up with. Some 2nd buys to read again. We had a phone call to see if we were ok,from gov.or nhs ? I said we were fine for now, which we are....did you see the news regarding cats being possible carriers ?

If cats are carriers Australia is doomed. At last count we have an estimated 8 million feral cats. We had a bit or rain overnight. It is going to be warm on Sat with 30c expected. It has averaged around 18c overnight, I am still sleeping with the fan on all night. A little more rain tomorrow...Ron.

I read the article about human to cat transmission of the virus. They say to self distance from pets if one suspects that they have the virus, its just as dangerous for the cat as it is for the person. I had to return to the pharmacy to get the meds they couldn't refill last week. Its located in a grocery store. Unfortunately very few were self distancing themselves, it was worst in the produce and meat sections. I fear that the outcome of this virus will be bad given that too many are still not taking it seriously and look at the time off from work as a great big vacation.

Looking fabulous out today. Hoping to pootle about the garden today. Planning on some seeds and bulbs in + i'm going to have another go at the water feature but my hands aren't up to much at all. I've been awake all night again. I've gone and gotten myself mega insomnia these days. Probably i will end up sleeping the best day of the year so far. I had my bedroom window open and the dawn chorus was really lovely. Not a bad start to a day.

I have heard what they say about the cats and corona virus. Apparently people are turning out their animals which seems so heartless, however, they cannot transmit to humans. I've also heard there are a few different strains of this virus which i don't suppose can help anyone. I am wondering if those that got it for the second time actually acquired a different strain of it. We just don't know. Stay safe all.

Now they are saying 31c tomorrow followed by high 20's during the week then 31 again next weekend. Perhaps the reason Australia is not as bad with the virus is that it is just too hot. Looks like we might be heading for another warm winter and hot summer. I hope not I don't think we could take any more fires. Ron.

Just had a txt from Scott re; the heat...said he's sweating like a fat lad in a pie shop.

Hottest day of the year. Got my water feature almost done. Really pleased, it's been so knackering lol. I'm so hoping the birds use it as a bath, but not the jackdaws. I discriminate against jackdaws lol. They don't sing well at all and they just make an awful noise. I saw a goldfinch in my garden for the first time in a few years yesterday.

Right, i'm going to snip my patch of grass out the back, weed a bit and put my bulbs in today. They'll need a ton of water as we've had none in quite a while. At least we are seeing some sunshine. Need something to cheer us up. Uk just recorded Europe's largest number of deaths in one day. Stay safe all. Like it or not we're all a tad vulnerable.

I started to dig out the heavy snow from the wood pile, but have a long ways to go given how deep and heavy it is. There is the tendency for snow to drift in and funnel the snow into that area over the course of the winter. Its wood cutting season, but it will have to wait a bit longer. The neighbor set his minnow trap into the lake and plans to go ice fishing, but the weather is on the warm side for running the snowmobiles. There's word we may get a big snow. If so it would probably be our last good chance to use the trails before winter breaks.

I think this the last of our summer. A good day outdoors, not out anywhere nice but at least the weather doesn't deserve my whinges. Will be much colder with an Arctic blast to kill off the flower buds. Nature has a way of doing that to our efforts in the garden. I got my water feature finished. It's not so bad for a first attempt and i might consider another at some point. I've gone through the learning curves now so should do better next time. Just awaiting the birds to take a bath or shower now. Today i'm going to put wire netting over my bird table and only going to give small bird access. That way the jackdaws will allow small birds food of their own.

Our number of casualties is still increasing and we're pretty much at 10k perished so far. Seems to hit other ethnic minorities and people who are overweight. There could be a chance for me yet by being a skinny white woman. I'm not being politically incorrect there just mentioning statistics. Stay safe

I dread reading the news Di, the world wide death toll is now up around 107,000 and I think there are many unreported particularly in nursing homes in many countries. In Australia we are seeing new infections down to single figures in most states and the curve has flatlined . I am still bunkered down. I pulled my landline phone apart yesterday and fixed a sticking micro switch. My internet and phone are all working again. Our weather has cooled for a day or so then will heat up next weekend. I'm handling the solitude ok but it's all the crap on the tv I can't handle. I no longer believe much of what I see and hear from the press. Ron.

cooler and grey here, but a good day for a bike ride.Depending on our route we usually stop off at the cemetery for a flask of coffee, but guess what, the gates were locked. We did find a seat in the Garden of Remembrance next door though. Also found that churches are closed too, which must be sad for those folk depending on some comfort at Easter.....Go canny on the chocolate eggs friends,

There is a lot of depression going around due to isolation with people staying home and not being able to socially engage, and the problem is mounting as time goes on. There have been deadly outbreaks in many nursing homes, and the staff are getting sick in large numbers due to a lack of protective gear. However, there has been some optimism over the last few days as case numbers are decreasing ever so slightly. I cut my news time short, as all they talk about is the virus. Yesterday I spent the entire afternoon from lunch until supper receiving phone calls from family, my nephew passes his time between the BBQ and the kitchen cooking up fine meals for his family and enjoys the time out from the daily rush.

Back again! I've been running two lawnmowers today and cleaned both air filters, once apiece. Both are needing another cleaning as the dust is horrific and gets sucked right in as soon as I get going. I looked like I was working in a mine of some sort before my bath. All cleaned up now and ready to do some service work on our mowers in the next day or two. We have 3 working mowers, two get ratbagged while the expensive one waits for greener pastures. It was -7c this morn and rose to around 14c. It's supposed to warm up for the rest of the week. I hope everyone is doing okay. Cheers!

P.S. The news is depressing and I'm trying my best to avoid the doom and gloom.

Our weather has changed as expected. Really chilly in that blustery wind. It hasn't blown my water feature down yet for which i'm grateful. The lawn has grown amazingly since my neighbour did a good first job back in March. Mind, the dandelions and daisies are colourful on the green lawn. We had some short heavy bursts of rain and frankly we needed it. It's been quite dry for quite some time. Tomorrow will start with a frost.

I'm so tired of this corona virus. Our govt don't even count the ones who have died at home or in nursing homes. to be fair i am so jealous of how other nations handled this and have few cases. Looks like china has a few more cases near the Russian border now.

I know Di it is really depressing. I think we all had an idea of what was coming but we probably hoped it would not be in our generation. But it is and we just have to live with it. I really can't remember a worse year in my life. The fires followed by floods and now this. I guess I'm lucky, ive been on survival footing for over twenty years. We have been really lucky in Australia , I guess the fires here help put the government into disaster mode and so far they are coping pretty well, our new cases are well under fifty a day and our death toll is about 61. We may just get through in reasonable condition. Hot and rainy mid week and next weekend. Ron.

I'm worried about dying of corona virus at home. If push comes to shove i will simply inform the GP practice nurse and have her phone me at a certain time each day. As much as i admired Nightingale i don't fancy one of those make shift hospitals like the one at the NEC in Birmingham. I've just been for oncology blood work at a private clinic in Northampton rather than the General hospital (NHS) I do know i feel more pain. I don't expect my oncologist to report a lowering of cancer marker this month. Tis nice this sunny spring. Not sure they will put me back on proper chemo as yet. The chemo tablets aren't working that i can 'feel' but i'm not in as much pain as last August. I remain hopeful to see far more of nature to drive me into Summer.

What a diabolical year for Australia Ron. Dreadful experience. Sincerely hope nothing more happens out of the ordinary to bring demise to Australians. This is one year they would happily forget. Stay safe Ron, stay home, hoping the Australian numbers are down today and in further days. let not us Crohnie's suffer anything that the normal's suffer with this deadly winter flu virus. Stay safe everyone. All i need is the intense crohn's flare up or RA flare up and it could mask my demise lol. I'm not sure i want to survive this to go out later this year or early next. Mind, the 3 day death might be a blessing. I've seen my brca1 relatives go out with this. Im hopeful. Hopefully i don't need to go out for the next four weeks.

Hang in there Di . WE just got the morning figures. Only 20 odd new cases over night in Australia, four states recorded 0. As few as there are I have the feeling that the government will not end the lockdowns till there are 0 new cases for a week or two . Suits me. It is warm and cloudy outside with the chance of some showers. I have to go to the clinic for INR tests tomorrow and get some new scripts. I haven't had a face to face appointment with my doc for over two months. He was getting a bit nervous about that a month ago when I had my last inr done. Ron.

Lovely and sunny today. Yesterday i went for my bloods and wish i'd taken a jacket. The hospital was a bit further away from where i'd parked. It was chilly, very chilly. I'm going to give all my bird feeders a refresh for spring. I've yet to plant up my Dahlia bulbs but they will go in today too. I'm pleased with the water feature though if i sit by it too long i have to come back in for a pee. The birds have yet to appreciate my handywork. Not seen any bathing or showering yet. However, i'm going to put bird food around it so they get the general idea (i hope).

Take care DI hopefully with the better weather coming you will feel better and regain strength. I had a good long ski yesterday, the snow pack was firm and smooth, cold enough for the ski wax to work well. I went the full length of the trail and found a recent set of moose tracks, large for its size. Temps are cool enough -5C that I may go again today unless it warms up too much.

Lovely and sunny. Simply can't believe i've screwed up my hospital appointment. The buses in this village are running normally. However, the ones in Daventry are on a Sunday service. There is only a skeleton staff in Northampton Oncology so no one answering phones. So i'm back home but actually got in the sane supermarket for an elderly and vulnerable shop. Let's hope i don't get this lol.

Big thumbs up to CAPTAIN TOM MOORE on raising almost £13m pootling about his garden with his zimmer frame. The NHS are slightly better off as he walks towards his birthday at the end of April i think it is. WELL DONE TOM, AND THANKS. Amazing character.

Lovely and sunny plus i've seen baby hedgepig poo in the garden. I'm delighted. More bulbs and seeds in i think for this afternoon. Stay safe all. We're at around 13,000 dead so far. This does not include home deaths or care home deaths.

I get quite emotional when Capt.Tom comes on screen and the folk who are supporting are just wonderful. It's amazing how kind and supportive they are.I hope no undeserving toe rag is allowed to have a say in what it should be spent on.
Nice day at 11c but a tad chilly early on.Had a nice cycle at the coast and saw our first Swallows while having a rest.

Another day another visit to pathology , I see my nephrologist next week. We have another four weeks of lockdown and if the infection rate is till low we may see some relieving of restrictions. Our overall death toll remains under 70. 31c today and 32c tomorrow and possible storms for Sat and Sun. Ron.

Australia is doing well by the numbers, here its a different story and our officials are running around like chickens with their heads cut off, with little agreement on how to handle the problem and for being so late in getting test results done. I am staying well clear by staying home. The neighbor's daughter is making masks, I'll be wearing one the next time I go grocery shopping. Went skiing again yesterday, but given the changing conditions it felt like the last ski of the season.

Really cold, windy and now rainy today. The land needs the water as does wildlife so it has done us good. Haven't been out at all today, in fact i've stayed in and even had a lay down and read. It's so bloody cold again.

Got to Daventry yesterday, no probs with village buses but there was no link up in Daventry to Northampton General. Onc and MacMillan nurses aren't answering and now i have no meds cos i didn't get there. Ho hum, never mind. I went shopping instead.

STOP PRESS: APPARENTLY THERE IS A CURE FOR CROHNS. IT'S THAT PROF BORODY DOWN THERE IN AUS AND IT'S THE ANTIBIOTICS AND FECAL TRANSPLANT. GREAT TO KNOW NOW I HAVE OTHER HEALTH ISSUES LOL.
Lets all be hopeful for those that won't be suffering with crohns in their future. I'm sure someone died of this fecal transplant recently. Anyway - Daily Mail Online for those interested. Anyone here for a cure?

Nothing to report of any import. The glass must be half full. Think otherwise then there's not much left to cling too. Eventually, this will dissipate. Just remember that the Spanish 'Flu of 1919 did , to some extent die out, but not before millions of deaths and in those times medicine was totally unable to deal with the situation. This virus remains as does the bubonic infection .' Sleeping GIants',perhaps?

Ron will cover the weather! Keep you collective chins up and keep safe,.

A front went thru tonight. Apparently there was some storms to the north of us but we didn't get any. Warm again tomorrow then a slight drop in the temps. Got a text from my nephrologist today to say he is not doing face to face appointments now but will do a phone consultation. Saves me some fuel I guess. Ron.

Check my latest addition to the Joke thread Buff then check your neighbours mask hahaha....who cares as long as it does the job

Well we missed the frontal storms but the front dragged the inland trough east and we just had a real thumper of a thunder storm tis morning. It hit the Sunshine coast area but has not touched Brisbane or the Gold coast yet. Lots of thunder and lightning but not much rain. Ron.

Slightly sunnier today thankfully. More attempts at training the garden for me. It will take a few 5 min sessions the way i am at the moment. But at least i won't have to rush in because of the cold. Mind, I was freezing all day yesterday and that was with the heating on. Roll on Summer, we could always do with Ron and Merv's weather. Hope you get a better Autumn.

Temp wise we are still in the low thirties, high twenties. We had some rain this morning then it stopped. We still have fairly low rates of virus transmission and the number of cases only rose by 45 for the whole country. Most of our cases have come off cruise ships and a couple of nursing homes. Our death toll is around 69. Our virus test results are under 2%. We are still in lockdown. The isolation does not bother me too much. Ron.

Ron, just get it straight, Mate We are not in lock down. We have restrictions placed on us, but nothing like the rest of the world. Those in the the vastly affected countries of the world have genuine reasons for complaint, whereas we do not. You and I are uniquely fortunate as you slip into the slippery seventies. Just remember that it not about old farts like me and you. Much more cogent to stick to the weather reports.. I have had enough of negativity. Come what may , for a time at least ]we shall prevail There are no medals in heaven for diagnostic tallies.
