Hi friends,
Curious what your Crohn's symptoms are like. I've been getting painful ulcers on my tongue for a couple years now but it seems like it's moved into my gums as well. Anyone have painful, bleeding patches around your teeth or mouth ulcers like this?

I just noticed that similar ulcers seem to be popping up around my fingers and elbows... and other patches on my arms. I suppose I'm just wondering if this could be Crohn's related or if it's something entirely separate. They're kinda red and itchy but not too bad.

I suppose I take some peace of mind in knowing that this is all part of one problem- Crohn's- and I consider you all more of experts in this case than I do my docs!

My crohn's symptoms are way different. I think it's different for everybody.

I have never had a mouth ulcer or anything like that. No mouth problems whatsoever. Also, nothing on my hands or body.

My syptoms are only in my stomach. Severe stomach pains / cramps, Loose bowels and often, weight loss, ect.

My Crohn's symptoms begin with a bm every day. No diahrea just a fairly normal bm. But it always results in a gut ache and cramping. Normally I eat two small meals per day. Each result in the some immediate nausea followed by cramping and gut pain. I also suffer from anemia and several vitamin deficientcies. I use pain meds for pain, zofran for nausea, venifur infusions to fight the anemia, B12 injections, and supplements to supplement my diet.

My crohns symptoms have changed through the years. I have pain in my hips that's crohns arthritis. I also get those mouth ulcers and the corners of my mouth split and are painful. This year I started getting some very strange sores and nodules near the finger joints. They don't hurt so much but this is a new manifestation..a rheumatologist told me these hand sores are crohns related.
For the lovely gi symptoms, I have constant pain in my right side..always the right side. It gets worse about a half hour to an hour after I eat then it goes from a dull deep ache to sharp pains. My belly distends after I eat and I feel like urking. I also have another new symptom of tenesmus..the feeling of wanting to poop but can't. It really hurts!..did I mention I have pain?!!Ou! How could I forget the diarrhea??sometimes 15-20 times a day..'normal' for me is like 3-6 times of silty, watery, mucusy, bloody diarrhea.and hemorrhoids due to diarrhea so now it's like pooping razor blades!
I haven't had any gum problems or eye problems. I don't have fistulizing crohns so I haven't had abscesses and/or fistulas.
When I get a bad flare, I have horrible belly pain that comes and goes and takes my breath away. I usually have to be admitted then. With a bowel obstruction for bowel rest..
Hang in!!i know it may seem like the never ending story of suffering but there have also been periods when I was symptom free and feeling really good! Loads of people work, have a really active social life, and learn to adjust. It's not easy that's for sure!!

My crohns symptoms in the early days DID start with the ulcers in the mouth. They went away once I was on treatment medications.
