Why isn't the predsione working 😭😭😭😭

I'm on predsione and I went down to 40 and I started having urges again and pain again, so my specialist put me back to 50 but it seems that I'm having another flare up as I'm getting urges to go toilet and there is some blood why isnt the predsione not working I'm really scared it's not fair

Sometimes with Pred it can be difficult to taper off ie you begin to reduce your dose, symptoms return. Many people who have been on pred have this experience.

What other medication are you on? Often it is a case of trying to find the right maintenance med which allows you to stay in remission while you come of the pred.

Thankyou for replying at the moment I'm only on predsione but I think I'm gonna stay on 50 for now. I been fine for a month but I went down to 40 last week and now I'm back to 50 because all of my symptoms are all coming back. I have been back on 50 for 3 days and all my symptoms haven't gone away

Have you spoken to your doctor about this? If not then you need to do it straight away

Yes we have, he said to stay on 50 for 3 days and then back to 40

If you are still having symptoms then you need to go back to the doctor and let him know that. You should also be looking at options for a maintenance med.
