Yoghurt, coffee and SCD Intro

Hi,

I am a bit confused about the SCD yoghurt and the intro diet. Basically, can you eat the SCD yoghurt when on the intro diet?

Also, coffee and tea? Can you drink those? I am sure I read you can but now I can't find the info.

I am about to redo the intro. I started it a few weeks ago....and got worse! So want to start it again and make more notes, introduce foods slower and be a little more observant.

Google SCD yougurt starters and you will find one without bifidus.
I don't use yougurt and found i always felt worse when i did so i use non-dairy probiotics - water kefir and sauerkraut.

"Now before I go any further just a word of caution, Jordan and I do not recommend trying diary until you’ve been on the SCD diet at least 30 days "

"If you introduce SCD yogurt and 7 days later you are still feeling worse it's not die-off it's the yogurt"

"The Bad Side of Probiotics
Before we get into the good stuff we have to touch on Bifidobacteria. It’s a hot topic in the SCD community for the reason that it can “take over” and cause health problems in some cases.
It is a beneficial bacteria, but the problem is, it’s just not a good neighbor at times. So, sometimes it can overgrow in and of itself.
So just to be on the safe side we usually recommend avoiding it in the beginning of the healing journey, but later on it can really help.."

I am just starting giving a try to SCD to slow down BMs as explained in another thread. Im suspicious about a CD relapse, but really unsure. In the intro diet, I am currently getting carrot puree, boiled chicken and eggs. Is there anything else interesting I could eat?

after how many days squash puree and fish are introduced?

has someone posted some guidelines in the forum?

I found lots of info on pecanbread.com

but maybe not complete...

"The intro diet should be done for two to three days, four to five days for those with diarrhea. Some people end up staying on the intro for weeks and wonder why they experience extreme fatigue etc..FIVE DAYS IS THE MAXIMUM."
http://pecanbread.com/f/how/introdiet.html
"This chart is based on the healing process that is taking place.
It is not based on a timeline. Some people may be able to add new foods more quickly than others. "

Squash is introduced in stage 2, fish isn't mentioned on this page but it's fine from the intro from memory

REMEMBER, the idea is to reintroduce them one at a time TO SEE IF THEY ARE TOLERATED, "legal" does not mean you should eat them, just that you should try them to see if they are OK for YOU at this time.
