Zometa for osteoporosis?! Need advice!!!

I have been diagnosed with pretty bad osteoporosis after having 2 spinal compression fractures I am in very bad pain and the doctor I went to has said fore to take zometa. I am just wondering if anyone else has ever taken this drug or drugs like this and what was your experience? I'm in pain all the time living off tylenol with codeine which I can't wait to get off of and can still barely move any advice would be appreciated feeling so depressed all the time been dealin with this for 6 months can't take the pain anymore as if the crohns wasn't enough :(


I haven't taken the med but am also relatively young although got quite a few years on you and have a lot of pain from osteopenia and other causes. I just wanted to show my support and hope you find the right drug to let you begin to live your life again!
Thank you I appreciate the support I just don't know how much more I can handl crohns already is horrible but adding this on is unbearable

I haven't dealt with this issue myself but found a couple links that may be of use:
