I'm from a long line of sucky colons as well. Dad has diverticulitis; Uncle has colon cancer; Grandma has colitis, etc. etc. etc. Sounds like you have a great attitude which is what UC patients MUST have. Be careful with the Prednisone because I'm pretty sure that's what made my colon rupture...
