    I am now in remission

I don't know because my blood pressure was always ok. I assume I had to measure it to make sure my body was adapting well to ketosis and I was getting enough energy. My ketones were always around 3-6 and that's never been an issue, apparently around the 9 mark is when it can become an issue but...

    I am now in remission

Just to be clear my diet is PKD, Paleolithic Ketogenic. It's not the same as Paleo. But thankyou!

    I am now in remission

I live in the UK so the NHS keep them, I'll ask next time I'm in the doctors if its possible to get hold of them.

    I am now in remission

No it's a full meat based diet that resets your gut and only at key stages do you reintroduce the plant based foods. I've been doing this for a year and a half now roughly and am still yet to reintroduce plant foods but honestly I don't care it's just lovely being symptom free

Yes, I currently eat beef, venison and pork, soon I will be reintroducing eggs and then fish. And hopefully in another 3-4 months vegetables!

    I am now in remission

Yeah, things are clearing up for me great. Had an MRI last month, no inflammation markers. All my bloods are looking great. Calprotectin is around the 50 mark. Symptom free too which is brilliant!

This doesn't sound like Crohn's, right...?

But they have blood inflammation markers right? Or they do they have no inflammatory markers at all?

    Normal calprotein and Chrons disease.

Have you had her checked for nutritional deficiencies? Some of these can definitely be caused by that, might be caused by the major issue and if you remove them narrow down the symptoms helping an easier diagnosis. I know platelet count is linked to vitamin K

    Normal calprotein and Chrons disease.

The 5 signs of chrons are - Inflammatory markers (calprotectin or blood) - Pain - Blood in the stool (darker coloured usually) - Uncontrollable weight loss - Diarrhrea Any of these could be a sign of chrons

This doesn't sound like Crohn's, right...?

Colonoscopy is fine nowadays, I've done it, nothing to fret about. As for your symptoms, it could be IBS and you are reacting to processed foods or one thing that's sometimes overlooked is the water.

    Bile acid malabsortion

Yeah you can do any combination you like. The only hard rules you have to consider is maximum of 6 per day but that can be stretched to 8 occasionally and no more than 3 in a short period of time. I wouldn't force yourself to eat fat if its making things difficult, even if you need to put on...

    Not Crohn's? What else?

    Is it bile acid malapsorption?

    Bile acid malabsortion

I had a BAM problem some years back for about 8 months, luckily mine eventually went away as my chrons reduced in severity. If you're taking the 625mg ones that I took you can actually take up to 6 in one day regularly or as the occasional one off you can take 8 in one day. You don't want to be...

    I am now in remission

I would highly recommend trying the PKD diet I am on. Within 2 weeks I went from going to the toilet 10+ times a day to going to the toilet once evry 1 or 2 days. If you need any further info please get in touch.

    I am now in remission

With my symptoms getting better even quicker than expected my doctor ordered another Calprotectin level last week. The results came back today and it was at 85. I guess that means I'm officially in some sort of remission. Waiting on MRI in March to confirm 100% I never thought I'd see that...

Starting Skyrizi next week.. need some support and some questions

I'm not a doctor but if I had to guess it sounds to me like the ulcers are becoming irritated. Stomach ulcers I know actually relax after eating food, you might be in the same boat with yours. Hopefully you find a treatment regime that gets rid of them. I recommend PKD but up to you which avenue...

Starting Skyrizi next week.. need some support and some questions

Sorry what I meant was have you gone a day without eating to see if your symptoms improved at all? It's just bizarre to me that it always strikes at night

Have you tried fasting and noticed a difference? Eating at different times of day etc?

Starting Skyrizi next week.. need some support and some questions

I don't know of any medicinal treatments sorry. During my colonoscopy they couldn't get into my small bowel to biopsy the inflammation or see ulcers but my symptoms all pointed towards atleast one ulcer being there. Luckily the PKD diet I followed clears all that up aswell by resetting the...

Starting Skyrizi next week.. need some support and some questions

I imagine your calprotectin levels are high aswell. There's more to blood tests than just CRP, my CRP was only slightly raised. Did they give you any treatment for the ulcers?
