    Stoma Support Group

I am not a woman so I can’t understand all the details, but I would be much more aggressive with the treatment. Combination therapy with a biological and 6MP, mesenchymal stem cell treatments (mayo clinic?), and IV antibiotics cocktail at hospitals all should be utilized at the same time. You...

What is YOUR weather like today??

Nice to learn I am not the only one with that issue. https://crohnsforum.com/threads/post-editing-option-is-not-visible.87696/

What is YOUR weather like today??

That’s exactly what I was going to suggest in my post but for some reason I refrained from posting it. I have heard Mexico isn’t as good as it used to be compared to just a few years ago, but still much preferable as the climate, foods, prices, culture and society are warmer, more welcoming...

Stelara every 4 weeks - how long does it take to notice the improvements?

We are determined to give it at least full six months, thanks. Besides, if Stelara doesn’t work, the only remaining option is xeljanz and it looks neither safe nor very effective; also to use xeljanz I would have to stop using the 6MP that has been helping my crohns for years so that is...

What is YOUR weather like today??

That’s harsh weather. Very stressful, compared to places with milder weather. If I could afford it, for health, I’d seriously consider moving to a sunnier area with generally milder weather in winters. It’s good the air is dry though at least, much healthier than humid and/or windy air.

What is YOUR weather like today??

I have found vitamins K2, D3, and C (C for gum health) especially helpful for dental health. Rinsing with sodium carbonate added water is also helpful. Dentist experiences are generally unpleasant, best to do whatever it takes to not need them. Good luck.

    Entyvio & Rinvoq Combo

How much time after starting entyvio did your inflammation markers normalized and blockages resolved?

Stelara every 4 weeks - how long does it take to notice the improvements?

@my little penguin @Scipio I have inflammation and stricturing in my surgically diverted rectum. Do you think Stelara (every 4 weeks) can help with this location, based on the studies and anecdotal evidence? I’ve been on this dose for the last 3.5 months and it doesn’t seem to be helping so...

    Entyvio & Rinvoq Combo

    This explains it:

    Entyvio & Rinvoq Combo

I would rather add high dose of Stelara or remicade instead of entyvio.

Dont know what to think - imflammatory arthritis

The test results and the sudden spike in arthritis can be indicative of CD related inflammation. I’d also consider getting ultrasound and MRI screenings. It could also be secondary to an infection, even a gastrointestinal infection as well. It would be useful to get a stool culture test to...

Dont know what to think - imflammatory arthritis

Heat increases arthritis (it’s one of the hallmarks of inflammation) so stay away from direct heat sources.

Dont know what to think - imflammatory arthritis

Excluding nightshades, gluten, casein, and foods high in oxalates; in addition to consuming homemade bone broth every day has helped my (and many others’) arthritis.

    Kefir? Probiotics? On remicade.

Since editing function is not working: Do healthy mammals living on land get better or worse if their biodiversity and the number of microorganisms on their digestive system are increased; or is it a sign of lost health if they have higher than average (for their species) number and diversity...

    Kefir? Probiotics? On remicade.

Regarding increasing biodiversity: What does biodiversity mean? What do people know about whether increasing biodiversity is beneficial (and in what respects); whether these can increase biodiversity (if so, how) reliably and in a long term even after one stops taking them; and whether they can...

    Kefir? Probiotics? On remicade.

There are also possible theoretical risks associated with being immunosuppressed by the drugs used for CD and by the pathophysiology of CD itself.

    Kefir? Probiotics? On remicade.

These can be highly immunogenic and risky. I would not take them. I think probiotics are a great way to make money. Nobody understands or knows much about microbiome currently to confidently mess with it. In addition, kefir has casein and lactic acid; both of these can increase the risk of a...
