MTX and maybe Humira for The Little Farm Girl

Lucy started pony lessons when she was just turned three about 5 months after her diagnosis . She went to a dance cladding with my other daughter and was unable to continue after 15 mins as her energy levels were so low. I was so upset but my dad and my sister persuaded me to let her try pony...

    Dermatology appointment

I would agree I find with Lucy the severity of the rash around her mouth generally tends to correlate with the severity of her GI symptoms. GI and now the derm don't necessarily agree but I am not convinced they are not linked. Farm wife derm reckons the psoriasis is a side effect if the humira...

MTX and maybe Humira for The Little Farm Girl

Just checking in farm wife - hope grace is doing better and the mtx is starting to have a positive effect. Lucy always gets what she wants too even if I say no, somebody (usually a nanny or grandad) gives in cause they feel sorry for her. Her grandad bought her a new pony for Xmas just cause...

    Crohns in young females

Hi laura I am a little bit speechless in regard to what your GI is telling you. My daughter Lucy now 5 was diagnosed at 2 1/2 with crohns after displaying symptoms very similar to what you describe for 18 months or so- constipation, funny looking stools (looked like porridge and would go from...

    Dermatology appointment

Had a good appointment - psoriasis on her scalp, excema on her face and some unpronounceable rash on her chest - so I have come away with scripts for three different creams and a shampoo - I'm actually thinking the whole thing is a bit ott!!! So I have to put the cream on her scalp every night...

    Dermatology appointment

Thanks guys - mlp Lucy sounds very similar to your ds. For the moment while the symptoms bug her they are nowhere near bad enough to consider a medication change . The derm is in the children's hospital and GI referres all skin issues to her so I presume it won't be the first time she's seen...

MTX and maybe Humira for The Little Farm Girl

They are probably checking her immunity for chicken pox and other illnesses like that - I guess if she hasn't had them they will suggest vacination. They will also check for tuberculosis antibodies, as well as fbcs, full liver panel white cell, red cells and inflammation markers. Surprised...

    Dermatology appointment

Hi everybody - Lucy is doing really well at the moment on humira and methotrexate - we had our GI visit last week and he felt her bum was healing but her fissures are still there and are deep. I was a little dissapointed because I thought she had improved more than she has, however having said...

MTX and maybe Humira for The Little Farm Girl

Omg fw poor grace she is such a little soldier and has been through so much. Lucy is taking mtx and humira and is tolerating well. The humira shot hurts like hell but I promise she will get used to it. I don't know how it works in us but here a nurse calls to administer the shot and train on...

The Little Farm Girl, LDN, Full EEN & Mayo Clinic

Lucy and grace have different presentations so our experience may not reflective of what yours will be like. Lucy was on 6 mp for a year - firstly on its own, then with flagyll and cipro and then with infliximab. While her symptoms improved sporadically while on flagyll and infliximab the GI...

    This is us

Hi and welcome I am so sorry your little girl is so unwell. For us the infliximab gave some relief but once we moved t 8 weeks symptoms were back at the end of about 3-4 weeks, so we went to 4 weekly but for Lucy infliximab didn't work long term but while it worked it worked well. Lucy is...
