    Update about my hubs

Oh wow! That's crazy. Thankfully we aren't anywhere near that yet. Were you able to get it under control?

    Update about my hubs

Also, are you familiar with anyone else having "more silent Crohns" ? I hadn't really heard it worded that way before. Makes me a tad nervous to a degree since he has inflammation but no symptoms.

    Update about my hubs

Yes! It's a total night and day difference from what we've been used to. She actually did an entire abdominal CT to check all other organs just "to be safe" since Crohns or the meds can affect so much more as we all know. And it all came back great minus what I mentioned above. His old GI never...

    Update about my hubs

Hello All! Just wanted to update everyone (if anyone even reads this 😂) we absolutely love his new GI team. I say team because he has 2 doctors which is amazing. They get back to us immediately and in 1 months he's had a CT entography and loads of blood work, been approved for Entyvio and...

    Humira side effects

Common side effects? And were you or are you sick more often? Hubs has to stay on mercaptopurine for 6 months with it unfortunately, but since he's handled the mercaptopurine so well his GI doesn't want to take him off and put him on MTX. Thanks!!

    Entyvio vs Humira

And as I said we aren't against humira at all, actually leaning towards it, I'm just looking for info. I've got a long weekend of reading ahead of me.

    Entyvio vs Humira

I am specific when I make appointments and Maybe it's different where you live but here you normally always start off seeing NP with open communication with the GI and then see him for all procedures and once or twice a year or if anything happens. He is seeing thr actually GI in 6 weeks for a...

    Entyvio vs Humira

She is our 2nd opinion 🤦‍♀️ and she has a doc above her (she's an NP) who teaches at the University here (it's a decent size medical based University too) and sits on the board of gastroenterology there who also is recommending Entyvio first but is also ok with Humira if that's what we choose...

    Entyvio vs Humira

Do you know why she would push Entyvio? His is limited to his terminal ileum. And she's a highly regarded GI that's associated with a university. She seeks very confident in Entyvio working.

    Entyvio vs Humira

    Ok thanks!

    Entyvio vs Humira

Thanks! Did you notice any difference in him getting sick more often with Humira vs Entyvio? His doc likes the fact that entyvio is gut specific for that reason but said she was ok with him doing Humira too! He has to stay on 6mp for 6 months as a bridge drug no matter what he does unfortunately...

    Entyvio vs Humira

I'm so sorry to hear that. Has he found something to work yet?

    Entyvio vs Humira

Hello All! So my husband finally saw his new GI doc (thank the lord) and they are recommending either humira or entyvio. Feedback and experiences for both please! Thank you!

    Another question....sorry 😬

Well ill have to tell myself, he's not under 18 of over 50 and those 2 age groups seems to fair the worst and I've talked to some that have used mercaptopurine for 20 years or so with no issues and That's pretty much what his doc has always said too, that they aren't totally sure if it's...

    Another question....sorry 😬

All that made me nauseous. I seriously am scared now. He's been on it for 4.5 years. Makes me want to have him come off now.

    Another question....sorry 😬

Ugh that gives me extreme anxiety especially since idk when he will actually start the humira 😰😭

    Another question....sorry 😬

Sorry I should have specified, I meant weaning as in I know Humira takes about 3 months to build up in your system. What do you mean by extra risk? He's been on mercaptopurine for almost 5 years. That concerns me.
