    Probiotics

I thing I have to agree. Lately I have been on visibiome and really stepped up my fiber intake and I feel 100%. I think if you can find the right fiber and combine it with a good probiotic, it might help, who knows. Trial and error. I would say whatever you do, do it for a month. Probiotics...

    Probiotics

I like to think of it like this, prebiotics are things the bugs in our gut eat, probiotic are the bugs. A lot of new info has shown that prebiotics can help. Different types of prebiotics help different bugs. I know for me, finding the right fiber (prebiotic) helped me a lot. I took...

    Ivermectin and Fenbendazole

yea, maybe. Not sure. All I know is that when I started treating my Crohns like it was an infection and did things that would also battle an infection I got much much better. That is just one data point and really not enough to make any conclusion. But I am going to keep on that path as it...

    Probiotics

GIs normally recommend Visibiome or VSL 3. Both are very expensive, but some people swear by them. I take Visibiome but I cant say it helps or not, just recommended by my GI. I have very mild crohns that is either in remission or I am just asymptomatic, so its hard for me to take something...

    Ivermectin and Fenbendazole

I would be really curious to know if anyone with crohns took ivermectin or oral itraconazole. This would really give us some data on the parasite theory. Early on when I wasn't feeling great I was contemplating asking my GI to prescribe me itraconazole. If I ever get bad again, that is on my...

This is not a very good forum..

I think people come here when they feel bad and when they are in remission they leave and stop thinking about it. There is something to be said for that, in that stress is a major trigger for crohns. So, obsessing over crohns probably will make it worse. This forum is not super active, but it...

    Elder Berry, Astragalus, Lion's Mane

mri that showed no signs of crohns plus nothing from a colonoscopy

    Elder Berry, Astragalus, Lion's Mane

the immunosuppressant route never logically made sense to me. If it were my only option I would take it for sure. But there are so many other things you can try. I am a big believer in fasting and natural antivirals/antimicrobials. People just need to go read the NIH research. There was one...

    Elder Berry, Astragalus, Lion's Mane

I am can only speak to me. I had mild crohns, just the ileum. I started on supplements/fasting in 2012ish. My last colonoscopy had me all clear, dr was surprised. So for me it has worked pretty well, but I know that can change any day. I just trying to stay off immunosuppressants until they...

    Elder Berry, Astragalus, Lion's Mane

sorry for the long delay. Here is my current list mulitviatamin, vitamin D with mk7, pomegranate, alfalfa, psyllium fiber, hawthorn berry, Krill oil/Fish oil, visibiome probiotic (I am not sure this does anything but Dr said get on it), Tumeric, resveratol, magnesium. Taking benefiber caused...

I thought it was a female that got it.

    Elder Berry, Astragalus, Lion's Mane

question 1. I have attempted all of them and more. question 2. yes and no. It is really hard to tell what is working and what isn't from a supplement perspective. Supplements aren't drugs, so they act really slowly for the most part. Some are harsh and act quick, like oregano oil, but most...

    My Story - Suspected Crohn's and it's Year 12

even name brands on amazon can be faked, so check who is selling that name brand. You can see it right below the buy button. For worm wood, make sure you follow the research dosing guides. I can't remember exactly, but I think it was something like 500mg 3 times a day. But if you google...

    My Story - Suspected Crohn's and it's Year 12

A couple of things about supplements. They are not drugs, they can take a while to work, like months to work. Be careful buying supplements Choose your provider wisely. There are a lot of fraud companies out there and it is tough to tell who is the real deal. If you are buying on...

    My Story - Suspected Crohn's and it's Year 12

I think you will get mixed responses on that. Some people respond well to diets, and its a functional cure. Some don't respond at all. I am on the side of try everything you can before biologics. Biologics are amazing and have helped people immensely. But they are not a cure either, they...

Can an MRI without contrast dismiss Crohn's??

I had every test you can think of, all came back fine. MRI with contrast, showed no evidence of crohns. Yet I still had problems. So my GI did a pill cam and saw inflammation/crohns.

    Ivermectin and Fenbendazole

I think this is interesting. I definitely have had better success in maintaining my health when I started to treat crohns as an infection, and not an immune system malfunction. The high success rate of things like worm wood inducing remission really validates that something is going with some...

Link between Crohn's disease and fatty tissue

I agree LIsa, this could easily be a causation type of thing. Still interesting.

    Hello

I don't think it is an either or thing. I think you can do natural and meds. They can compliment each other. All of the current research show very little risk from taking vitamin D and fish oil. I think it can only help. But, you have to do what you think will work for you.
