    Is `mild imflamation` a biopsy result?

I am half a scot.... seems to be on the scotish side that suffer IBD , very genetically run in the family. Sometimes using a good probiotic, depending where your area of inflammation is, there are beneficialy ones to help fight it off. Good luck. Keep us posted on how you are doing.

    Is `mild imflamation` a biopsy result?

In some cases yes. Some have inflammation and some have ulcers. Too bad your stomach was full. I would next time just have fluids the day before. Digestion is also a culprit. I just had a scope and said no worse no better , but same ulcerlike lesions. I go for my biopsy results on the 23rd...

    Stiff/sore muscles over problem area?

I find when I get those symptoms I could be low on magnesium. I am back on taking it as my muscles and eye twitching is back. Mind you I am an older crohnie but I try to stick to non med remedies. Magnesium is not a good thing to be low on, as well as Vitamin D and B12. Hope this helps...

Am I the only fat Crohns sufferer?

Yeah could lose quite a bit myself. I eat oatmeal every morning and coffee , cream and Stevia instead of sugar. Need to exercise more and i was on a roll (pardon the pun) but laid off since I had the partial bowel obstruction. I too lost 40 lbs in my initial dx but was told not to get under...

    On Lialda only.......

Sorry you are having a tough time and if you live in the states I am sorry for that too. Crohns does change you life in some ways but you learn with meds or diet and meditation to control your disease. Not everyone has a rough go of it. I have never been on Lialda but I hope someone can help...

    Newly diagnosed!

Hi Buttercup! :welcome: Congrats on your forthcoming child! Sorry it is not when you are narrowing. I have never been on the elemental diet. You really have to be careful because you may not feel pain but having even a partical blockage is painful. I have had narrowing in the intestines...

    Question about steriods

:Welcome: to the forum. Yes, I had the same thing for about a week and then goes away. Make sure he drinks alot of water, not sodas or juice, because you can be dehydrated very easily. Also can be from the disease as well. Normally when you are down to 10mg some other symptoms can pop up or...

    Remission: now what?

Well I had been on it for 3 months and stopped because of a bad reaction but they say the 3 month mark is knowing it will work or not. Are you pain free? Or at that very least symptom free?

1 Year and Life To Go

:welcome: Ness. No one likes to be on meds, we get that. However I do know of someone who has exhausted all meds and she is on MJ but...you dont smoke it if you want results. You get way more THC when you use a vapor little thingy (can remember the name) but you get results in 5 min and doesnt...

    Remission: now what?

That is great that your Crohn's could be in long term remission! I agree with Trysha, Crohn's has no cure so you should be on something so it doesn't flare back. Unless you are planning on being on the SCD diet which many say it is hard, that could your journey. For what ever it is worth...

    IBD stinks

:welcome: Girun! Glad you found your way here, I have been on remicade too but short lived, I reacted terribly to it, by the 3rd infusion. Everyone is different on the biologics and other drugs so you have to find your diet and med or what ever helps you. We can help along the way, we are...

When I was getting diagnosed, the guy doing my endoscopy follow through had Crohns but got fed in the shoulder. That was 20 years ago and he knew right off I had crohn's :yfaint: not a good picture of that news.
