    Paying the price

I am paying the price for going camping with family and having others determine the meal choices. I think it was the breakfast burritos that did me in. I started flaring again while at camp. G.I. doc just put me on Flagyl.

What can you eat when your in remission?

Oh yeah. I am avoiding spices and the like. Bland is the way to go.

What can you eat when your in remission?

When in remission I have been told to eat a normal diet. But I am in a smallish flare that doesn't seem to go away. At this point I am cutting out roughage. I am not lactose intolerant, so I keep my diary intake up. But we are all different. I would try different things and see what works, or...

Can I stop colonoscopy prep if

To answer the question, Layla is correct. If you are running clear, you can stop the prep.
  9. DougUte

    What could it be 😳

I don't understand why they do sigmoidoscopy anymore. The colonoscopy covers the entire colon and into the Terminal ileum. Just for that reason the colonoscopy is generally considered the better test.

    Is it ibd or not?

The inflammation would have been down because of the course of steroids. Attacking inflammation is what they do. I would go back to the dr that originally diagnosed you. Even if he is that far away. I think they are on the correct path. Good luck to you.

    What is this pain?

Inflammation in the Terminal ileum? That is lower right quadrant below the belly button. I wonder if the source of the pain is the T.I.?

What would you like people to know?

I have people who think that my weird dietary issues are all in my head or something. They don't understand that low fibre diet during a flare will help prevent blockages. I generally avoid roughage in my diet in order to avoid pain.

I fear the Crohn diagnosis as hell...

usoagn, I just read this entire thread. The respondents to your questions are giving you good advice. Getting the diagnosis is worth it, even if the disease does not have a cure. I am not a doctor, but I have years of experience as a Crohn's patient. It sounds to me that you have Crohn's...

I don't suffer from insomnia. I wonder if the Lialda may be the cause?

    Questions about Humira/biologic meds?

Yes, unfortunately failure of the med does happen, but there is a reason. The body starts producing anti-bodies to fight the drug. Usually they will increase the drug amount. With Humira they usually go to weekly injections.
