    Entyvio (Vedolizumab) Support Group

I don't think I have memory problems from Entyvio. I have been on it since last February and am experiencing remission from Crohn's. I am having more memory issues as I get older, but that started before Entyvio.

    Entyvio (Vedolizumab) Support Group

Does anybody know if Entyvio can cause Kidney problems? My labs came back and show an elevated kidney enzymes. PCP thinks it is a result of my diabetes but I am finding it very interesting that it shows up within months of being put on Entyvio.

    Weight gain with Humira

After my surgery in 2010, I was put on Humira. As far as side effects.... what side effects. I had no side effects from Humira what so ever. It put me in remission and I got my life back. After about five years it started to slip up and I was slowly getting Crohns symptoms again. We tried to go...

    Entyvio (Vedolizumab) Support Group

Ron, I hope you don't have any issues with your insurance company. I am on Entyvio every 8 weeks because my insurance company would not allow me to go on Humira every week. Reason: The FDA has not approved weekly injections for Humira.

    Biologic choices

I was on Humira for almost 5 years and in that time I had zero colds and zero boughts with the flu. I found it was not the disaster for my immune system that I had read about. No wearing masks at doctor's offices here. It also put me in a long remission. Over time it became less effective and my...

    Entyvio (Vedolizumab) Support Group

I was several years ago, but they put me on Humira and that got me out of it. Hopefully Entyvio can do that for you.

    Entyvio (Vedolizumab) Support Group

Hang on til tomorrow and see what the Dr. says. But it seems to me that 25mg of prednisone is probably not enough.

    Entyvio (Vedolizumab) Support Group

I have not had a second surgery. Humira did stop working over time, but my GI is really on top of things and we made the switch to Entyvio last February.

    Entyvio (Vedolizumab) Support Group

I had the same thing happen within months of my surgery in 2010. Humira chased away the post surgical crohn's inflammation, no problem. Entyvio should do the same.

    Nothing Special

Hi Schmidt. I was diagnosed in 2010 at age 46, but I can look back and see mild crohn's symptoms for 20 years before that. When things got bad, it happened very fast. If I could, I would go back and do everything I could to avoid having surgery. I had 3 feet of small intestine and .5 feet of...

How long do you let a flare go?

If I feel pain starting up, I call my G.I. He usually gets me in pretty quick in that condition. If the pain is increasing, then I go to the ER. Better not to wait and have this disease do more permanent damage to my gut. Please don't wait too long.

    Crohns and the ER

Hi Missmissie. I agree with Jabee. It sounds like your bowels need rest and you should be on Parenteral Nutrition. (Interveineous Feeding). You are having a terrible flare. We understand. I will be praying for you.

    Your "safe" foods

Raw tomatoes, with their acids and seeds, are bad for me most of the time. Tomato soup and sauces, etc.. are OK. The seeds are not there and I think the acidic stuff must cook out.

    Entyvio (Vedolizumab) Support Group

That is what happened to me. Stupid insurance company gave permission over the phone, saying pre-authorization was not needed, then I had 2 infusions before the insurance company came back and said I needed a pre-authorization. Luckily the insurance company records their phone calls. When the...

    Undiagnosed and needing help

Sometimes things don't show up in tests, but they are still happening. The problem she had is the doctor did not prescribe a prep before her colonoscopy. That is why the scope did not work out. No need for a psychiatrist here.

    Undiagnosed and needing help

In my case the cte did help with my diagnosis, but you need a good colonoscopy first. They did not have you properly prepare for it. Makes me angry for you.
