I took DS (17 yo) to the dermatologist for a mole check and while there he asked to be put on something for his mild acne. Doc knows he has Crohn's and so I said I didn't want antibiotics. He prescribed Epiduo gel. Anyone else use this? Safe for Crohn's? Effective for mild acne?

A friend of mine has a daughter with oral Crohn's. She gets swollen areas on her mouth that come and go and has had to go to dermatologist to manage them at times.

Her last two infusions were upped from 5 per kilo to 7.5 per kilo so I'm wondering if we need to go up to 10. What is to highest does of Remicade? Is it 10?

Thanks again for being there guys! I am thrilled to say she has had no symptoms at all (THANK GOD!)! She did take a sublingual 4mg Zofran with the MTX so I'm sure that helped....even as a placebo if nothing else. One more question: GI and I talked about why DD is going on MTX, reduce further...

DD took her first dose of MTX tonight (10mg). I forgot to ask doc why MTX is only taken once a week, does anyone know? Also, as far as side effects go, would we notice them within the first few hours or could they develop throughout the week?

I heard back from GI about this and she said that she's not concerned, it could just be gas. That said, if she starts having any other symptoms or the rumbling gets more frequent we can do an MRE.

What would I do without you all!!?? DD is taking a prenatal vitamin daily and it has 800mcg of Folic Acid so GI said that was good. Does that sound right?
