    Change in flavor of food...

She says she has reduced sense of taste (no flavor) to all foods, and no appetite. The lack of taste has improved the past couple of days but not the appetite. She can smell. She hasn't been doing her Symbicort or Flonase for a couple of days, and we changed her Lexapro to 5 mg and at evening...

    Change in flavor of food...

Too bad that wasn't the case for Jae. I cut her dose in half to 5 mg last night and she said that her dysgeusia went away but she still didn't have an appetite. Maybe that will improve too. Does it mess with your sleep?

We used Culturelle when J had c.diff. It seemed to stave off yeast, even when she was on steroids and antibiotics (two courses of Flagyl followed by IV antibiotics and cephalexin for a blood clot).

Thanks. I thought about that too. I will reemphasize that to her.

    Change in flavor of food...

She has been on 10 mg the entire time. She has also been off balance and sometimes falls down if she gets up too quickly. She is still depressed and gets overwhelmed when she thinks of trying to do school in a few weeks. That is even with homeschooling the minimum. She hates her life. She...

    Change in flavor of food...

Lexapro is her newest med. I think she's been on it 3 weeks? I was kinda leaning that way, but didn't want to hear that as she's been through two other antidepressants that she couldn't tolerate for other side effects. She is only on 10 mg... It has seemed to keep her out of the dumps...

    Change in flavor of food...

Help. Jae has lost taste for any food. She gets her favorite foods, then doesn't want to eat due to it not tasting right or tasting badly. Currently her meds are 6MP, escitalopram, Symbicort, Flonase, Claritin, B complex, vitamin D, and bone nutrient supplement (mag, calcium and D). Any...

Your doctor can prescribe oral or topical medicines that are effective for that. Sichuan orally or nystatin topically.

    Underweight?

When my daughter was first diagnosed she was 68 lbs, 5'1 inch and 12 years old... She was extremely thin too.

    What now? If anything...

Some have used periactin successfully, but my daughter couldn't because it triggered her seizures even after the first dose.

    Underweight?

She is way under the chart for both weight and height for her age.

    What now? If anything...

Is you daughter having any signs of puberty? Sounds a lot like my daughter, but she didn't have a lick of puberty at that age either. Pill cam gave us answers, but fecal calprotectin was also up. I know how frustrating it is.

    6MP and appetite

MLP, does the Humira help both the back and Crohn's?

    6MP and appetite

When he saw her in June she wasn't having the pains. When I called after about 9 days of back pain he wanted to put her on prednisone without seeing her. She said they went away 2-3 weeks later after her period.

    6MP and appetite

No, I'm not sure her joints are inflamed - just loose and coming out of place easily/partial subluxing with activities like soccer in the yard or wrestling with her younger brother. The activity is done maybe 3 times a week, but usually has to stop due to injury. She doesn't want to do...
