Thanks...we did look into that and I can't remember why that's not an option....but I recall there being some reason for us not to do that....I know the dr said that he felt that would not be successful...should the inflammation come back I'll look into it again..thanks.

Great news! Labs back after 2 months since stopping 6 mp.....liver is back to normal!! YAY:dance: SED rate is still down so no sign of inflammation coming back and at the moment pentasa is holding it down. Can't describe my current relief.....I feel a bit like crying. What a weight lifted...

MLP......yeah.....we lowered...and lowered again the 6 mp.....it was working very well except for the liver issue .....so stopping it is scary ...we are now on only pentasa so we are crossing our fingers that pentasa alone may keep him in remission.....I'm worried about jumping to the next big...

Any other parents have ridiculous anxiety over their kids being ill?? I think it's 500 mg once a day.....but I'm assuming that since his level is 1900 in his blood and it should be 800 at its best that we should discontinue supplementAtion.....my bigger concern is if this indicates actual liver damage or if this is yet another result of the 6mp and will normalize...

David......had the vit d and b12 checked. Vit d still rising at 42 now...up from 32 a few months ago,..b12.....grr. Not only is it not deficient...it's the opposite! 1900.....more than twice the normal high?? Wondering if we should stop supplementing? Any thoughts on this? Quick...

I have no knowledge on pentasa and anxiety connection....but I have immense experience with anxiety. My entire family ...parents..aunts.....siblings...all prone to anxiety...myself included. I STRONGLY recommend a book called "the way up from down". .....google it...it's fantastic and...
