    My Story

Hi Trish, truly inspiring story. I agree with what you said also, listen to what your body tells you, who knows better then us..what is really happening. If I hear one more doctor tell us it's all in our heads, I swear I'll scream. I think each and everyone of us has been told that, at some time...

    Hospital Roomate Stories!

OH BOY!! Do I. I was in for one of my flare ups one summer, the hospital was so busy, and very short of beds..that they stuck me on the Geriatrics floor. I was put in the room with a very sweet elderly woman, but I was not told of her condition until the next morning, as they wheeled me up in...

    Sleep issues and Crohn's Disease

It's extremely difficult to sleep Rob, especially if you're in pain. I did have many sleepless nights, for me my method for trying to resolve the problem, was to lie on my tummy and rock back and forth to ease the pain, and eventually I would fall asleep. It didn't always work, of course. Other...

    Participation in a Crohn's Medical/Drug Study

I agree Mike, it's very odd to read that so many of us have family members that to suffer from the same illness. I was told by my doctor many years ago, that it wasn't. However, he never showed me anything to indicate anything other. I strongly believe...that it does.

    Crohns and the Seasons

I was also curious to hear from everyone about when your flare ups were the worst. For me, it was every summer like clock work. Usually around the same time, June..July, August, would I spend my time in hospital. My flare ups didn't seem to activate in the winter so much, as they did summer...

Music as a tool to help your Crohn's

Believe it or not, I use...and still do to this day, those tapes or cd's of nature sounds. Maybe it was just me, but they did wonders for calming the ole tummy down, on flare up days. Give it a try, worst case scenerio...you will sleep..lol.
