I think that's a real low dose!!! Are you sure you are not on 6-MP instead of Imuran (Aza)? Usually Imuran is dosed 1.5-2.5 mg/kg. Most doctors here in the states hope to get patients in the 2-2.5mg/kg range and then possibly do some testing to see if their blood is in the therapeutic range.

Has anyone ever had success with Aetna covering the metabolite testing? I have been on 100mg of Imuran for 6 weeks now and both I and my doctor want to see what my levels are. Unfortunately, in calling Aetna I figured out that they will not cover it. The cost of the test is expensive though...
