    Colonoscopy attempt - round two

So the colonoscopy went well. The colon looked good and the GI doctor removed a polyp and took biopsies. She says since the colon looks good that it must be the c diff that's made my life a nightmare since April (I wonder if I've had it since September when the first episode of pain, diarrhea...

    Colonoscopy attempt - round two

Today it's finally the date for my colonoscopy after waiting a month after the failed first attempt (because of an incomplete cleanse). I'm working in the second half of my split prep now and am anxious that everything will go ok and that this will hopefully find out what's going on in my angry...

I'm having a good day and I'm so thankful for it

Wow y'all. I could only make it through seven days of the flagyl then I HAD to stop it. The physical side effects were bad enough but I realized that stuff was messing with my mind too (anxious, depression, crazy thought processing) - I had to stop. Hopefully the stuff worked on my c diff even...

What is YOUR weather like today??

83 degrees Fahrenheit with soft trade winds and sunny skies on the Big Island of Hawaii. Quite refreshing after a few weeks of rain.

I'm having a good day and I'm so thankful for it

Maybe it's the flagyl kicking in and fighting the c diff, I don't know and I kind of don't care. I'm just so happy that I felt good enough today to go to the beach! I was actually able to enjoy the sunny, clear skies of my island, had a wonderful drive to my favorite beach - clear enough day to...

    Pain during period with crohns

I'm presently undiagnosed but since all of my GI symptoms started to really ramp up last September, my normal period cramps have become more painful

Aloha - new to forum and suffering

Thanks Cat and Daisy123 . The Zofran is a godsend. It brought my nausea down from around a 7/10 to 3/10 for around 3-4 hours, awesome! I'm gonna make sure I save enough for when I do my colonoscopy prep because the last one was really harsh on my nausea and made it so much worse for about a...

Aloha - new to forum and suffering

Whew - my PCP had no problem prescribing me some Zofran (as well as my note for work) Just took one and hoping for some sweet, sweet relief very soon! I'm very pleased to have a compassionate PCP. Now I've gotta work on staying tough while I attack this c diff and await my colonoscopy!

Aloha - new to forum and suffering

Thank you Cat. Fortunately I'm seeing my PCP today (I have to see him to get a doctors note because I called out sick from work (since I now know I have c diff, I stopped antidiarrheals which means I can't control the infectious spawn of satan coming out of my rear right now - just really can't...

Whoops - I realized I may have misunderstood - darned brain fog - I think I misunderstood that you had failed attempts at colonoscopy prep. Instead I will applaud the success you've had with the type of prep you've had!!!

Thanks Daisy123. So sorry you've had to go through repeat attempts at colonoscopy prep too, we'll be experts at this soon! I really appreciate the tips - ginger tea and mint tea have been my saving grace lol. Let's all keep plugging and supporting each other!

Hey everyone - just introducing myself and thought I'd share a bit. I'm a 43 year old female who is currently undiagnosed. I moved to Hawaii to live my dream, be in a climate that is kind to my fibromyalgia and arthritis, and enjoy the healing I feel when I swim and snorkel in the beautiful...
