    Predictr promethius test

My daughter started on Remicade + methotrexate, and that combo worked well for her for several years. Once she was in remission, we tried stopping the methotrexate, and she developed psoriasis pretty quickly after that. We tried some topical treatments, but they didn't help, so eventually she...

What a great photo! And a great update too. My daughter will be graduating from college in the spring--all the kids are becoming adults!

    5yo Son Diagnosed 1/20/21

Ferrous sulfate was hard on my kids' stomachs. They were advised to switch to ferrous gluconate, and that one doesn't cause them any issues. I agree with MLP that getting Crohn's in control is really the ultimate answer though.

Little Pilgrim moves to 3rd Biologic

Hard to believe that H is 13, and it's great to hear that she is towering over you! Entyvio did not work for E, but her inflammation was all in her TI and the small intestine nearby. Is Remicade an option for H if Entyvio doesn't work?

    Surgery questions and experiences

Sorry I didn't respond earlier--just seeing this today. I had to go back to look at how long E was in the hospital for her resection--it was just 4 days. (I would have guessed longer.) Her disease situation sound really similar to your daughter's friend's, in terms of the disease location and...

Entyvio vs Stelara - looking for advice

My daughter also hates injections, and has pretty severe sensory issues, but she has dealt with shots and infusions 9 years now, and we've gotten through them without too much drama. We've never tried pens, but my sense is that they aren't less painful, and can even be more painful. They can be...

I don't have any insight into most of those lab numbers--sorry. But that calpro is wonderful!

Wonderful! Will O stay with you through the summer?

    Stelara Levels

Latest calpro was 290, which isn't terrible. And she is finishing her junior year already, if you can believe that.

    Stelara Levels

Her doctor considers her level to be "in range." The scope will happen before we hit 4 weeks on the current dose, so it doesn't seem unreasonable to wait for those results.

    Stelara Levels

Her doctor wants to do a scope before deciding what to do; she's scheduled for the end of the month.

    Stelara Levels

E is currently symptomatic and Stelara levels just came back at 2.8 mcg/mL at 6 weeks post injection. (She is currently on every 8 week dosing.) A quick Google search makes me think this is low. Anyone have experience with what levels led to increased dosing? Results just came back so I haven't...

    Adverse reaction during Remicade Infusion

Just anecdotal info here, but... My daughter also had Crohn's that was mostly active in her terminal ileum. After 6 years on Remicade, she was slowly losing response even with dose increases. She was switched to Entyvio and it never helped her at all--things just got progessively worse. After 6...
