    Strictureplasty

Oh okay. That makes sense. I wonder if theyve made that much progress on surgery in 6 years to only have me in the hospital for 2-3 days.

    Strictureplasty

Wow that's crazy. How long ago did you have surgery? I wonder if its a little more invasive today. I was under the impression I'd be in the hospital 2-3 days and back to work in 10-14 days depending on how I recover.

    Strictureplasty

Thanks for the input. How long were you in the hospital? When were you able to go back to work? I'm hoping to get back in 2 weeks but I have the flexibility to be out 3 weeks if needed. When were you able to start on harder foods again?

    Strictureplasty

Hello, I am scheduled to have a strictureplasty next week and they may end up having to do a resection as well. Does anybody have any input or advice? Post op diet? How long it took them to recover? Painful? Will I require a colostomy bag? I am a 25 year old male and Ive never had...

    Inflamation or strictures?

You have some of the same symptoms that I have. The CT scan that I had a little over a couple months ago determined the narrowing for me. Maybe a CT scan would show more in your case. My doctor put me on OTC milk of magnesia and that really helps me pass stool. I notice that when my bowel...

    Inflamation or strictures?

I have had a barium swallow AND a CT scan. At this point, it was determined that the narrowing, inflammation and scar tissue was in my small bowel. My doctor said my case is pretty unique because it is in the small bowel. It seems most people have crohn's in their large bowel. Ever since I've...

    Inflamation or strictures?

I've had some of your same symptoms and I have Crohn's disease. I've had bloating with a lump near the bottom of my belly button area that just feels like built up gas waiting to be pushed out. Many occasions I have hunched over in pain on the floor of my bathroom basically doing yoga to get...

Do you think your resection has made you feel significantly better?

What is your lower back pain like? For me, it literally puts my on my knees. Its so bad to the point that I thought I could have something wrong with my pancreas, which I plan to ask my doctor about and see if I can get some blood work done to determine if it could be my pancreas.

I have an appointment with him on 9/21. That's the soonest available. I wish I could get in sooner to discuss the surgery but I guess it is what it is. I also noticed a big difference when I started the low fiber/no fruits and veggies diet + citricel. However, I feel irreversible damage has...

Yes, my GI prescribed the Humira. When I first started it, it seemed to be my "miracle drug" but with the # of times I still experience flare ups and the severity of the flare ups, I am not so sure any more.

New to the group - my story

Hello, My name is Kyle and I am 25 years old. I was diagnosed with Crohns disease in 2011 but experienced first symptoms in 2008/2009. Initial GI thought it was celiac until biopsy and blood work determined Crohns. Currently on humira (2x/month), methotrexate (1x/week), folic acid daily and...
