Hey Merv! May be the antibiotics have started to show their effect. I don't get to see blood in the stool as well as mucus in the toilet bowl now. Googled just now for "corticosteroids", seems to be a very good option to treat inflammation. Will definitely ask the doctor about it. Thanks...
