    Azathioprine (Imurel)and B12 injections

Liverpool and Reidy - thanks for that. I am feeling alot more positive about the Aza now. I have my next hospital appt. Oct. 6th - by which time I will have had the other tests. I had my first B12 injection this evening... it really wasn´t too bad at all. I don´t know if I expected to bounce...

    Azathioprine (Imurel)and B12 injections

Thanks for such positive replies! I am feeling better already. Just finding people who know what you are talking about - and who are interested is such a boon. (instead of, "where´s Vicky? Where do you think? In the toilet again.........) The number of people who think that Crohns and UC is...

    Azathioprine (Imurel)and B12 injections

Thanks Thanks for the replies. I have heard the B12 injections are a bit painful....but hey, 2 colonoscopies in a month - without being knocked out - shouldn´t think they could compare. lol. I have had blood tests - just the TB test now. The doc. did tell me that I would need regular blood...

    Azathioprine (Imurel)and B12 injections

Hi everyone. I am new on here and posted a month ago - while awaiting blood test results and an appt. with the consultant. I have Crohns at the ileum. (sorry if I sound a bit stilted... but I have all my treatment here in Spain - and in Spanish.) I have been taking Pentasa (Claversal in Spain)...

What treatment comes after Pentasa for Crohn's Disease

Will do Dusty. (wait to see the doctor, that is.) I bought the fish oil capsules, which I started today. I will let you all know how I get on in September. Thanks. Vick.

What treatment comes after Pentasa for Crohn's Disease

Thanks Dingbat for the kind words. I don´t take any medication for Crohns except Pentasa ("Claversal" in Spain btw.) Dusty -but feel sure I should be having some sort of treatment after the month I´ve just had. I have an appt for more blood tests 1st Sept and a follow up appt. with the...

What treatment comes after Pentasa for Crohn's Disease

Thanks for that. The Crohns is in the terminal ileum. I have to find out what Entocort would be in Spain. (Where I live.) I will check out the others too. I will obviously go with what the doctor advises - but it is so good to find so much information on here - and not be completely ignorant...

What treatment comes after Pentasa for Crohn's Disease

Hi. I was (finally) diagnosed with Crohns about 6 months ago....after being treated for UC for nearly 40 years. I have "moderate" crohns - am taking only Pentasa - but have my next appt. with specialist early September. For the last 4 weeks I have been feeling unwell - with bad cramps, constant...

    Finally!

That made me smile Astra. Yep, getting a diagnosis FINALLY - is good. lol. Doesn´t take away the pain or the fatigue or the D..... but at least we now know we are NOT round the bend. Jmitch - I am in a similar position to you - and actually looking forward to trying out some different...

    Is this Crohn's?

I can "identify" with nearly all of the above. I was diagnosed with UC when 17. Had treatments and hospitalisations over the years - but luckily, no surgeries. I have dealt with this as best I could - as we all do. A few months ago. after a particularly bad month - I went to the doctors...

    First post.

Thanks all. I have lived in Spain for the last 36 years... but was born in England. I have had lots of medication over the years... I can vaguely remember cortisone treatments, foam enemas etc. I was only officially diagnosed with Crohns a few months ago - but everything seems to be falling in...

    First post.

We have just two bathrooms at home - and it´s the only "concession" I get around here ........so I fought hard for it...and won. lol. EVERYBODY with Crohns should have their own bathroom - a law should be passed in fact. It´s the least we deserve! Joking really - and I know I am lucky. Thanks...

Thanks for that. People just don´t get it, do they? lol. Been to the bathroom 15 times today (I counted.) Just feel worn out and in pain. I don´t tend to tell people I have Crohns - most just think it´s the constant running to the loo - and that´s it. I have my own bathroom at home (hands off!)...

    First post.

Hi all. Been reading the forum for quite a while.. finding it really helpful. Feel a bit of a fraud for only having moderate Crohns really. Some very serious stories out there. I was diagnosed at 17 with UC. Treated for that since then. Had various episodes, been hospitalised once - with a...
