    Question re Colonoscopy

Thanks Ducey and Emily. I appreciate both of your responses. Emily - if I begin to have symptoms I will certainly get on meds. My MD (who is wonderful BTW) isn't puting me on anything and I trust him. If I have a flare I don't believe it will be because I was or wasn't on medication...

    Question re Colonoscopy

Was diagnosed in 2004 and had a resection at the time - active crohns and an obstruction at the terminal ileum. Since then I have been pretty asymptomatic. I recently had a colonoscopy (long time coming, have been puting it off!). No active disease was seen in the colon or terminal ileum-...

    Okay, I have a question..

Thanks for the info and replies. riversilt and sailorluna - sorry to hear about the symptoms coming back so soon after surgery. I consider myself ridiculously blessed to have been without major symptoms since the surgery. That is, until now apparently. Shamrock15: It isn't a nerve pain. It...

    Okay, I have a question..

First off - I had a resection 8 years ago. I have been pretty much in remission since. HOWEVER (damn disease!), I have recently been having these cramps on my left side. I posted about it several months ago. I have no bloody stool, no fever, no intense pain, no real naseau (unless i...

    Tenderness and Solid....you know

I was wondering a couple of things: 1) when you have a flare-up do you have tenderness in your stomach around the cramp/flare-up? If so, what does that tenderness feel like? Is it painful to push in there 2) During a flare-up do any of you have solid....movements:shifty-t:? thanks

    Hey everyone

No. Since they cut out the Crohn's (6yrs), I have been feeling good. No flare-ups. I have gained weight, never had blood in my stool.... Actually, I did take Pentasa for a few months and hated it. Later, I saw a GI doc at a Crohn's research insitution (university of chicago) who told me...

    Hey everyone

Pen Thanks for the advice - very kind. Funny you should mention gastro bug - about 5-7 days before this cramp my wife and I had a 48 stomach flu - really bad. It really hurt my intestines! I am glad my wife had it too or I would have freaked out about a flare-up! Anyway, maybe I am having...

    Just Diagnosed

That is very odd - a very ignorant thing to do. I am sorry to hear of your troubles. You should get in to a GI sooner. Call their office, talk to a nurse and tell her what is happening and they should be able to get you on an overbook or after hours or something.

    Hey everyone

Thanks Thanks Michele. That's what's weird - I have no pain. Just a cramp. I really don't want to go to the doctor but suppose I might.

    Hey everyone

Help - Question I should have become part of this community a long time ago as I have frequently read your threads/posts. Anyway, I was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease in January 2004 - they discovered it while removing my appendix (that wasn't causing the pain after all...suprise!). After a...
