She started on Pentasa and Prednisone with no response. They moved her to Methotrexate mid June, and still no relief. She ended up with a rash from it last week, so they are now having me give a large dose of prednisone before her weekly injections. It kept the rash away this last time, but not...

Hi vness, I know the feeling. My 10 year old daughter was just diagnosed in May and we have yet to find a medication to help her. The disease itself is worrisome, but not finding a drug to work is frustrating, especially as we try different ones and we read the potential side effects...errrrgh...

    Madasin's Updates

That doesn't sound right. My daughter was on 500mg three times a day for a month. I don't think they'd give more if the body only digests a certain amount. I agree with you...VERY odd. Have you considered calling a pharmacist and asking about this?

10 Year old Daughter just Diagnose with Crohn's

Thanks, DustyKat. I will check out the link. You are absolutely correct. There is nothing worse than standing by watching your child suffer without having one thing you can do to help. You just want to take the pain away and would trade places with them instantly if you could! I am soo deeply...

10 Year old Daughter just Diagnose with Crohn's

Thanks HI all, Thanks so much for your responses and support! It has been such a LONG road. Unlike several other stories, we were referred almost immediately to a GI doctor. My daughter has had four endoscopy procedures, and three colonoscopies, none of which ever found the Crohns. I am so...
