    We never did get answer to K low iron and haemoglobin. She had colonscopy as a adult which completely clear She is 25. Married. And responsible for first DGD. She had first iron infusion last week, and is waiting the arrival of DS my first DGS.

    Hi All, can't say happy to be back. A quick family update DD1 - S current well and living Canada dx with Crohn aged 16. Now 29. DD2 - R is well. Dx with UC aged 24. Now 27. DD3 - K - long history of anaemia. Married expecting 2nd child in January. Has just had her first iron infusion...

    Hi, Calprotectin of 991 could well be Crohn's. The think scopes are your next step. The Crohn's can cause abnormal blood results. Amenia, high inflammatory markers and lower ferrtin or high ferritin. At least my experience mother of 3. DD1 - DX Crohns aged 16, DD2 - Dx Uc 25 DD3 - anemia

    Quick update. She is well! Staying only on aza. Will do a quicker steroids taper calprotect is 18.

    She had antibiotics for salmonella. Steroids for crohn flare and B12 injection. And blood tests for everything. She is well in herself and not likely her treatment options. She has a meeting with the gi team in a month. Calprotect 1200

    It's Salmonella, flare and anaemia. She had iron infusion today and more blood taken. I am flying up on Friday

    Good luck with appointment. How long are you into your Crohn journey? I am not here much.. I have two children with IBD. The oldest has Crohns and has been dx 11 years and is now 27. She is in hospital FNQ with possible flare.

    It sunny today in Melbourne. My parents are in move to high ground area in Northern Victoria. They are still dry. They just need to stay put as there is no where to go.

    J100, how did go with second opinion? I am also in Australia in Melbourne. If you are looking for a independent second opinion will need to see a private gi specialising in children interstate mostly likely in Melbourne. There lists are very long. They are a rare.

    Sarah has been doing well since she resection a couple of years ago. She is currently living in FNQ. She has returned from a holiday in Bali and had food poisoning(other members of her group were sick as well). On her return she tested positive to covid. Last week she had 5 days of stomach...

    Sorry to say but the calprotectin level is very high for only small bowel involvement. You need a urgent MRE.

    Fecal calprotectin test

    Suggest also requesting blood tests. I would get calprotectin are pain event. I would try a ibs diet like FODMAPs. This diet made my ibs much better. My daughter who was later dx with crohn's if anything it made her worse.

    My 24 year old daughter was dx with UC last year and she is high functioning aspergers. Her sisters has crohn's.
