1 week till remicade

So my first Remicade infusion is on aug.4. I'm mildly depressed because my hubby and i had been wanting to trying for a baby and they want us to put that on hold. I really hope I start to feel better, my joints hurt all the time and being on endocort has me crazy with Mood swings. I hate how expensive this drug is! My work covers 90% but until I get covered by my hubbys work I'll be owing $400. Why doesn't Alberta health care cover any of this stuff? It's
Not like anyone wants to go on Remicade and yet they charge us so much for it. I guess I'm lucky enough to have dodge the infusions for the last 11
Years and no surgerys either. I'm only 22 but my body feels 40. How depressing.

Hi Ms.TG and welcome. Try not to be afraid of Remicade. It has done wonders for so many. But I am sorry you have to hold off on starting your family. Doctors usually don't want women to get pregnant right after starting a new medication. They want to see how you'll do with Remicade before you get pregnant. But, hopefully, you'll do well on Remicade and then get the green light!
