hey my name is manny and well ive been dealing with abdominal issues for months and doctors could never give me a diagnosis.. the 14 of this month was the first time i ve ever been i the emergency room with severe fever nausea and issues and well was released 7 hours that day only to come back the next two days... 4 days in the hospital and bills pilling up they released me and just gave me medication for what they thought might be colitis or crohns. a week later i woke up unable to move due to the pain in my intestine i literally felt like my intestine was gonna pop, had to have the ambulance pick me up from my house and take me in to the emrgency room for a thrird time. 5 cat scans and 2 colinascopies later they are 95% sure its crohns... and well its barely been 2 weeks in recovery and i can barely walk... after my first antibiotic ran out i fell ill again worse.. fever for days and horrible pain now ive been put back on onto another antibiotic thats controlling me but ive lost so much weight and i feel so weak... simple chores exaust me... i am 21 but i am a working man that lives with his girlfriend pays the bills... cant work now untill i recover... help how long will that take>>? i am scared.. how long before i can surf, ride my dirtbike, run ect... i am new to this and very devestated when i heard the news although i am positive about the situation i just want know know how long will i have to recover before i can work....:(

You need a specialist, a GI/Gastroenterologist. They will help you get on the right medication to get your flare under control but with all the fevers and nausea and pain it could be an obstruction of not even a perforation (that's just a guess, what did the CT scans show exactly?). Once you find the best treatment for you (there are tons of different ones out there) then you'll slowly go into remission and should be able to start other activities but that could take weeks, months or up to a year or more depending on your body and what's going on inside. No one can give you an exact amount of time until you go into remission unfortunately. :(

Welcome to the forum! :D

Hi Manny and welcome! Ugh, I'm so sorry to hear you're suffering so much :( My heart goes out to you bud.

Crabby is absolutely right, you need to be under the care of a good gastroenterologist. Please find one.

What medications do they have you on?

I wish you well!

You are not only in one of the most beautiful places to live!!! You have alot of great medical care. Have you tried Scripps?
