Still getting nowhere

Seen my GP x 2 - now gone on cruise

Seen the partner once

Spoken with NHS direct twice

- been advised no referral would be possible for only 1 flare. Maybe after 3 flares, possibly next year a referral could be made.

Now taking the following :

Pred 45mg
Predfoam x2 a day
Spasmonal x3 a day
Cocodomal - 8 a day

Using hot water bottle too

Topical- wipes, zinc cream etc

Consuming
Water
Lollies

- tried some food, longest I can keep it in is 40 minutes

Still bleeding etc
Bowel movements can vary, good day maybe 10 times, bad day upto 20

Any advice would be so welcome, going back to the doctor again and having bloods done this week.

Going into work in agony, as I cant have any time off

Thanks in advance guys

God! can't believe this, in this country too!

If it was me, I'd phone an ambulance! or go to A&E and lie down screaming! I've done that before! This way. you'll get to see gastro! That's bollocks about one flare doesn't warrant a referral, in the UK, you are entitled to choose your own hospital, and you pay your NI contributions, so head off into another hospital and create merry hell!
when you see the doc, ask for codeine phosphate, I know it's in co-codamol, but very low dose, but you need at least 30mg x 2 every 4 hours, this on it's own will stop D in it's tracks!
hope you find the strength to fight this! this is your right!
xxxxxx

Thanks, will phone now and see if they can do over the phone for the codeine phosphate

If I could get out of work I would, I am on very thin grounds as it is. am now at 2 days off during this flare, 3 days is the limit.

People already gossiping saying I am not "really" ill etc etc.. even though I am running out the office/grimacing/sitting here up to the eyeballs with painkillers

Thank you, will see if I can those meds today

hope you've told your boss what's going on?
you do know it's discrimination? under the DDA, and employers have to make reasonable adjustments? if they get ******, you can get them done? they have a duty of care to look after you!
and the gossips? you don't have to justify yourself to anyone!
take care
xxx

I mean it Dancer, get yourself to a hospital! (you're cybermum has spoken!)

It does sound like the emergency room would be a good idea in your case. They can help with pain management and will give you much needed IV fluids and should even be able to run some tests on you to see what's going on. Vomiting after eating isn't a good sign and you need to get that checked out right away.

As mentioned you can't legally be fired for this as its a medical emergency.

After 4 weeks of no food, you must be almost dead on your feet, Girl, literally!!!

As Astra said...this is not right... job or not...your health comes first...I mean..you can't work AT ALL if there is no YOU....

I would be off to A&E ASAP.....

I havent been being sick, just shoots right out the other end!!

Been have jelly today and water

I am going to speak to management in the morning but ultimately I need my job. If they phone me an ambulance thats fine, but I cant make the choice - and then loose my job.

Went for weigh in etc today, doctor unintrested..just said to get on with it and see my GP when he is back basically, which is next friday

Thanks for all thr replies guys

I hope the meeting with management goes well...

I also think you need to get to hospital - you can;t hang about when it comes to these things and you desperately need some help with pain management and fluids.

Please take care of yourself.

Thinking of you.
