6mp liver function

After reading Davidson post on 6-tgn just now, I thought id have a look at my next two blood test slips... And realized, I'm not having liver function tested. It's monthly blood tests, now that I'm on humira as well, but shouldn't I be getting liver function tests on 6mp regularly?
Thought I'd ask my gp to add 6-TGN (thanks David), but I'm seriously doubting that if liver function is important on aza, that it wouldn't be on 6mp.

Anyone on 6mp...do you have regular blood tests to check liver function, not only the Crp...etc?

I have been on aza before and am looking to try it again. Yes, I did have my bloods/liver checked on a regular basis while I was on it at the time...my liver count was high and that's why I was pulled off it last time.

Hey Irene3,

You should definitely be getting Liver Function Tests done when on 6MP, it is an immunosuppressant just as Imuran is.

I personally don't like to have more than 2 months between blood tests although most docs are happy to pan out 3 monthly.
