Dear all,
After a rather unfortunate recent experience, where I inadequately protected myself from the sun, I would like to remind / warn everyone taking 6-MP (Purinethol) that the drug can make you very photosensitive - something I am not sure every GP / Doctor / Consultant makes clear when they prescribe it as a medication.
I got quite badly sunburnt, and it has taken several weeks (!) for it to heal properly. Being on steroids as well as 6MP doesn't help either!

Avoid sun exposure. Wear SPF 15 (or higher) sunblock and protective clothing.

I would probably go as far to say that SPF 15 isn't enough, and go for at least the 30 if you're heading out into the sun.
With regards,
Tony.
