7+ litres Colostomy output in 24 hours!

Is 7+ litres colostomy output in 24 hours a record. I achieved this figure twice whilst in hospital last Autumn. Only one of the many many consultants had ever come across a larger output than mine. As well as the 7+ litres I also managed many 6l, 5l and 4l days too. Thankfully the output did eventually reduce to what it is now between about 1l and 2l a day - still high but not crazily high like it was!

Even 1L seems really high to me! I have a colostomy and my stoma is usually only active once or twice a day and that's it.

Fizzi...I think your dr's must be worse even than mine to let THAT go on. I have a high output, but not like that. Then again, what goes in....

But you surely must have dehydration issues?

wow! i find it annoying having around 1 litre a day from my ileo! so god knows how id get on with 7! jeez!
