abcess symptoms

could someone please tell me the symptoms of an abscess i'm having lumps of mucus coming from my backside and could this be an abcess breaking up after remicade

Hi Boza. Have you been over to our subforum? There's a useful sticky with symptoms for an abscess etc. Do you think you've had an internal or external one? The only time I've had a lot of mucus was when on antibiotics for an internal abscess and I think that was it draining. I know they prefer you not to have an active abscess when you start Remi but they can be difficult to diagnose sometimes.
How are you feeling otherwise?

feeling good otherwise bowels are still playing games though

I know it can take more than the first infusion to feel a big difference. It was a few days after No 2 that it really kicked in for me. I think I would definitely mention the mucus when you go for the next one. Are you having any stomach or anal pain etc? Do you have an IBD nurse there when you have the infusions? Sorry to bombard you with questions!

I dunno sometimes I get a bit of a stabbing pain below my belly button and and in the anus but goes away quickly

Mucus might just be from inflammation you still have, then. When I had the bowel/bladder abscess, I had a lot of pain and tenderness and felt really unwell. Good luck with the next infusion.

I think your right grumbletum I have no bad pain so i think its just alot of inflamation in the bowel I'll wait till the 3rd infusion and see what happens.

I just have this feeling of tightness in my bowels and have tightness below rib cage but otherwise no bad pain feel like i need to poo but no poo
