Abscess question

Hi everyone!
Question: On 12/18/2015 I had to have an abscess removed near groin (what a relief!) and thankfully, it's almost completely healed! My CRS keeps telling me me to be on the lookout for another abscess or a fistula formation, but if the abscessed area was removed and Cipro/Flagyl combo was taken, shouldn't that eliminate the possibility of further infection?

Unfortunately they can still form in another area in the groin.
