Hi everyone,
Not sure if this is the correct place to post this thread if not sorry and please move to correct forum.

Monday afternoon I was sitting at the dining room table and started getting stomach pains quickly followed by feeling sick. I went to the bathroom as I thought I was going to vomit. Suddenly I had a pain in the middle of my chest just below the rib cage so I laid down on the bed. The pain then spread across my chest accompanied by pins and needles in both arms. I called my wife, when she came into the room she quickly sat me up and the pain subsided a little. My back and chest was clammy but my hands and feet were white and very cold.

I had a strange feeling in my neck and jaw and was shaking and confused. I kept feeling like I was going to pass out and was very unsteady. The wife phoned the NHS help line and I spoke to adviser. He was very reassuring and then said "stay on the phone the ambulance is on its way". The adviser kept chatting to me until the ambulance arrived.
I was immediately placed on the ECG machine. The paramedic said my ECG was ok but they were taking me to hospital.Once at hospital I was given four more ECG and blood was taken. I did notice after the last ECG they moved me next to the nurses station.

When the blood results came back I was informed they were transferring me to a ward for observation. I was given aspirin, warfarin and injected with heparin before being moved. On the ward I was connected to a heart monitor overnight.
My BP and HR were quite erratic. HR was ranging from 90 to 49. I had two more ECG tests, bloods and another injection of heparin. I heard the nurses talking they said "keep an eye on bed 14 he has crohn's and was admitted with chest pains" .
The hospital discharged me after 22 hours and I now will return as an outpatient for further tests. I was not given a diagnoses but they said it could be angina. But my symptoms don't match correctly for angina. Also I had a exercise treadmill ECG only 36 months ago which showed no heart problems.

Still taking aspirin as prescribed and trying to take things easy but quite tired and chest still feels a little tight. The consultant prescribed Nitrolingual spray which I have to take if I get any pain and if the pain does not subside its 999.

At least my crohns is behaving itself for now anyway.

Oh, gus, I am sorry to read this. I sure hope you feel better and get some answers soon.

Hang in there!
