Treating Crohn's disease more aggressively resulted in better outcomes for patients, an international team of researchers reports.
Using more than one immunosuppressive drug shortly after a person was diagnosed with the disease was more effective in inducing remission than starting patients on corticosteroids. Crohn's disease involves an inflammation of the gastrointestinal tract that most often affects the lower part of the small intestine. Swelling leads to pain and diarrhea.

Not sure what to think here....but haven't we all heard now? Duracell's are the cure for Crohns.

gotta be sure there the alkaline ones... not the lithium. and dont' substitute any energizers... they wont' cure crohns, they'll keep you going, and going, and going..

apologies to ruth... Yeah, interesting stuff. too bad most insurance providers won't support (pay) for the form of treatment.. without them, it doesn't matter whether it might work better or not. Like, EVEN if ones Dr. was convinced to try it on you, until the folks who pay for it agree, its a moot point. Course, us folks without insurance... welll, it doesn't matter anyway.. Agressive or step up process, we can't afford to pay either way.
