Just FYI...

('SickKids' is Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto)

Our SickKids' IBD team has rented the Air Canada Centre!!! We want YOU, with your family and friends, to join us in the fun on Sunday October 2, 2011.

Register immediately to save your spot. This event is for ALL ages.

IMPORTANT:
1. You MUST register your name on the website (even if you have already let us know through email or in clinic): https://secure.e2rm.com/registrant/startup.aspx?eventid=76140
2. FREE for everyone. (You may donate if you wish, but this is NOT required).
3. EVERYONE of ALL ages is invited to come to the ACC to watch or raise money. You do not need to play hockey. Bring your family and friends, too!
4. IBD patients who want to play hockey will be grouped according to age/skill while on ice: older/high skilled teens will play each other, while younger/new players will stay together.

IBD patients with full hockey equipment can go on centre ice to meet expert hockey trainers, who will be on hand to lead drills and scrimmages. Hockey players will be grouped according to age/skill level while on ice. If you have a picture of yourself in hockey uniform, please scan and email it to us. We'd like to use these at the PUCK event (for instance, as players step onto the ice, in the dressing room, etc).

If you don't play hockey, or are a sibling/family member/friend, there will be plenty to keep you busy, too! Come to meet special hockey guests (bring your pen for autographs!), play off-ice activities and games, and cheer from the stands (from the best seats at the ACC you'll have all season! J).

See you there.

HI Tess, That's great support for the kids and adult, great support and having a blast i wish i could come but, i live in newfoundland. but i will send my best wishes to you and this event i hope all goes well.

SickKids really do tons for their patients, IBD or not! We're so lucky to live nearby.

Not sure if my son will be able to participate - he has a tournament that weekend so we'll have to see how schedules play out...

But, thought I'd pass it along in case someone else wanted to attend.

(Sorry you are both just a wee bit far. LOL)

Linda - let Jordan know my son would LOVE to live in England - all his favourite bands are there! Especially Oasis! Am constantly being 'updated' on the drama, the break-up, etc. surrounding this band! LOL)

Good idea! I live way out in the sticks and my daughter is too busy in Uni. I did know that Air Canada used to be a sponser for the CCFC, not sure any more, I haven't volunteered this year, only for a raffle. Sick kids is a great hospital!
