So the past couple of weeks I have been feeling really tired and run down but just put it down to my medication (humira). What I didn't realise is I had a UTI.... Lovely. I am now on antibiotics. The only reason I went to the doctor was that my joints in my fingers were swollen and I was worried that inflammatory arthritis was back. It's now in my ankles, feet, one knee and a shoulder. I have a rash all down my legs and lots of bruises so they think I have vasculitis. Anyone else had this along with their crohn's? They are now checking my kidneys out because I had blood and protein also in my urine so they want to make sure everything is ok.
Just when things started to look like they were going in the right direction haha. Oh well have to stay positive holiday in 2 months fingers crossed my health doesn't get any worse and the antibiotics will sort it out.

I had a UTI in the winter. Ugh, it was not pleasant. I hope it clears up for you quickly.

I don't have experience with vasculitis. What testing are they doing to look into this? I sure hope you get some answers soon and get well before your holiday.

Thank you for replying. UTI's are horrible the worst is I never get typical symptoms so it can go unnoticed for so long until I get to where I am now.
I had blood taken yesterday to check my clotting which I know will come back abnormal because of crohn's. They also did general blood tests like renal, bone, liver, crp, fbc, ear, rheumatoid factor and I think ANA. They sent of a urine specimen for mc&s and for protein aswell. I'm going back to the doctors this afternoon again to get my results see what happens next.
I did have an interesting conversation with my mum and she mentioned that my younger brother had something almost identical to what I have it was called Henoch-Schönlein Purpura. It is more common in young boys between the ages of 5-9 my brother had it when he was in this age range, but it's not unknown in adults and women. Maybe it's that I don't know if it can run in families but I will mention it to my doctor when I go see what she thinks.

I hope you get some answers soon.

By the way, how's the puppy?

No answers today luckily the rash on my legs went down a bit or they were planning to send me to the hospital. They are just going to monitor everything at the moment.

The puppy is doing really well been to some puppy training classes and she did quite well. She is 4 months old now but huge and is starting to get her adult teeth so nothing is safe from chewing can't take my eyes of her for a second lol. Thank you for asking hope your doing well x
