It could be anxiety. That said, it also sounds exactly like anaemia as well. That used to happen to me after any form of minor exertion. Have you just walked up a flight of stairs?

no.. i did alot yestederday though. i went downstairs to make a cuppa and came back up

i cant stop heaving and going to the toilet though and ive got college in half an hour.

i used to be anemic.. but when they checked a few weeks ago they said it was fine

Well, just standing up and walking around is going to make things move along faster than if you were sitting down at home.

If you think it's anxiety though, you should talk to your doctor about it. It's better to deal with things like that head on :)

yeh il ring them as soon as they open. im shattered today been up since 6 am :O

Yes, I have had anxiety attacks, no doubt. The best way of describing what I feel is: I feel shakey, heart races and my chest feels very very heavy, making it difficult to breath. When I get the feeling that I can't get enough air into my lungs (I know that sounds strange) I know I'm having a panic attack. Typically lasts for about an hour or two for me. Its rare when I do get them, but I know I've had them. Hope you feel better and do try to cut down on the caffeine. It's hard at first (I was a big coffee drinker) but once you do, you'll feel better!

I had one while I was hopped up on pain killers in the hospital. It felt like the world was closing in on me. I was getting a bit of tunnel vision, I felt sick, and my breathing accelerated. I also keenly felt the need to lay down. I had also been crying all day. Which is very strange for me, especially since I really didn't feel like crying it just kept coming unbidden.

I had another very mild one a few months later. Which bothers me, because I never had one before and I'm worried that the first one has opened up the door for other ones. I haven't had another since though.

I have terrible anxiety. I think my flight or fight response is just plain broken. Anxiety is my response to pretty much everything, appropriate or not. It used to be utterly debilitating, there were a few years when it actually kept me out of school. It's better now, but I also know better how to deal with it.

Caffeine is the worst thing in the world for me. I can't even have anything decaffeinated, because there is still some caffeine in it. A decaf chai had my heart rate accelerated for 8 hours.

The fact that your symptoms are showing up whenever you go to college (i.e. at the same stimulus) points to anxiety to me. If that were happening to me, I would have to ask myself what is it about college that is causing my anxiety. Such an extreme anxious response usually has a reason and can be your body's way of telling you that there is something you are subconsciously unhappy about. I obviously don't know what the cause is for you and I won't presume to psychoanalyze you, but if you suspect you are having panic attacks, it might be worth it to ask yourself why. If it were me, I would ask myself if I was unhappy with the college in general, or if I was having second thoughts about my major, stuff like that.

Anxiety and depression are sometimes caused by chronic inflammation. When you dig into it, you will find that just about all diseases that cause inflammation can result in these symptoms.

Since Crohn's causes a chronic inflammation response, one way to resolve more than one problem at once is to control and reduce the inflammation.

Of course, anxiety for normal reasons is a different matter.

see.. i dont really get on with the people in my class but i get the feelign when i am at home aswel.. even though it is mroe often than not at colege. it might be cos i feel pressured at college to be well all of the time.

i went to see the school counsellor and i felt better after that.. i got to express my feelings which i couldnt do with people i know cos they are all convinced my illness is in my head. but i knwo it isnt and my counsellor is finding it hard to believe that its in my head aswell..since i have physical symptoms and im loosing weight even though im eating..that cant be caused by it being in my head,

it happens mroe when im feeling unwell. maybe the inflammation is making it alot worse
