I do have a fistula on my backside but other than some rumbling and fistula and a lil blood on the paper my guys feel ok? Just wondering thanks guys

Yes me ! I have some problem, here we speak about associated dry syndrome: the Syndrome of Gougerot and Sjogren

Some of the symptoms 'may' be attributed to crohns... of course, you shouldn't assume so let your doctor know but, what I know...

Fatigue - low HGB is common with crohns, and will cause fatigue. As your GI about your HGB level and if you should try supplements. But, know that iron supplements can sometimes be hard on the intestinal system (you may have to try different brands??). Keep in mind that active inflammation causes malabsorption, so you could be deficient in other vitamins/minerals that are contributing to the fatigue as well.

Body aches - do you mean 'joints' - active crohns inflammation can also be accompanied by inflammation in the joints. It may alleviate once your crohns is under control or your GI may suggest you see a rheumatologist.

Indigestion/reflux - I think is fairly common. My son had that as well.

Eyes - as with joint inflammation, there is sometimes associated eye inflammation - if it continues, perhaps see your eye doctor and let him know you have crohns. As far as I know, it is treated with antibiotics (but, not absolutely sure of this...)

Backaches - not sure what you mean by 'burning'?? My son had backaches for a year before being diagnosed (varied with lower back to upper back pains). While he did have an injury at one point, his GI also thought it was possible it may have been connected with the intestinal inflammation too??? Coincidental or not, his back has stopped aching since his crohns has been under control. He used to use Tiger Balm ointment and found it helped immensely! Do not take nsaids (such as ibuprofen, advil) - they can cause intestinal problems, such as ulcers. Tylenol is fine.

Hope that helps. :)

Hi,
I have Crohns and often have many of your symptoms. I suffer with terrible indigestion/reflux. I know take medication for that. It has caused grade 2 esophagusitis. Food is always getting stuck and eating can be very painful. Sometimes the food gets so stuck I have to make myself sick to get rid of it, nothing else will shift it. It does not matter what the food is either, anything will stuck. I regulary have an endoscopy to 'keep and eye' on things, but its getting worse.

My appetite is awful, I generally only eat one meal a day, however I supplement this with prescribed milk shakes that are full of all the good things.

Got a lot of those symptoms at the moment
Reflux, trouble swallowing, pain in finger joints and feet, lots of aches all over but bm are fairly good at the moment so its not all bad :)

I have experienced many of these symptoms. I always assume that the headaches and sinus problems are a separate issue. The upper back pain that I've had I believe is heartburn. Fatigue has been a big issue as well as body aches/joint pain. I just recently had a endoscopy because I was having chest pain and trouble swallowing food (it would go down real slow)...turns out that I have several ulcers. The doctor put me on nexium, along with all the other meds.

Thanks for the replies guys!! It's comforting to know others go through the same I've started having good days mixed in with the bad yesterday was awesome but had maybe 1hr of sleep last night and today all the symptoms are back!! I just wanna go to sleep and feel better tomorrow!!

I don't know this sounds more upper respiratory. I have asthma and had these symptoms for years before getting sinus surgery and allergy shots.

Reflux a lot of people have. Crohns is very digestive, although I know not exclusive. Have you been definitively diagnosed Crohn's?

Yes colonoscopy and biopsy but never had a upper scope just a barium swallow test it showed a duodenal ulser but that's about it maybe it's the ulcer missing with me?
