After my Crohn's diagnosis I begin having a weird skin problem. It started with a large reddened area on my leg that looked like a spider bite. It would get huge, throb like crazy and then break open and drain. Then another would start. The doctors messed around for a year and then I went to Mayo Clinic in Rochester. They diagnosed me with gangrenosum dermatosa. Not much you can do but use a halbetasol ointment once the areas get started to decrease the inflammation. After the areas heal they leave a a darker, blue tinged area. Not exactly attractive but capris help.

I have pyoderma gangrenosum. It is near my ileostomy. It is horrible and very painful. I don't know if it's the same as yours? My treatment is protopicia cream, prednisone orally and humira.

DS dermo said DS had a mild version
Which was only mild because he was in humira and Mtx
We were told if it comes back worse they would increase /change his immunospressants/biologics

Good luck
