Appetite after Scopes

M just had scopes Tuesday morning. Prior to scopes, her appetite was never ending. She never gained weight but she was always filling that hallow leg of hers. Obviously, ravenous during clean out and morning of scopes. Ate ok yesterday ghough im thinking about it, she did turn down a second sprinkle donut. (i swearbshe eats well but she had a list of mustbhaves she made during clean out because she was so hungry). Today a very minimal appetite. I'm talking barely her favorite pancakes etc. says she's not nauseous or hungry. Think just weird after effects? Other than that, still low fever, joint pain, belly pain, etc we had going into scopes. Thanks in advance. Kay

Sarah never had a scope but Matt certainly did have a drop off in what was a poorish appetite at the time.

I do recall he had cramps and some pain the evening and following morning after the scope but not severe. Then the next day he had another procedure, CTE, and basically for the next few days he just looked worn out and subsequently he picked at food more than anything.

I hope your lass is okay and her appetite soon returns, bless her. :ghug:

Thanks Dusty! I know the MRE gave her nausea but she kept eating us out of house and home. I'm sure it doesn't help that her throat is so sore from being intubated. I've suggested jello and Popsicles but I can imagine those sound pretty awful a few days after living on them cuz of clean out.

I know for some the clean out and scoping can unsettle things for a few days, almost like a mini flare. Hopefully when her throat settles her appetite will pick up, poor love. :hug:

^^^ Yeah that, All Jack can think about prior to scopes is eating after but doesn't eat for a few days after. Hope her appetite is back.

Jae doesn't have an appetite in good times, even worse after scopes. I guess I'm not much help!

My son has had scopes twice. By the time we got home both times he was starving. Arby's take out (roast beef sandwiches) is his go to food after scopes!
