Apriso and Insomnia

Hello all,

I am a new user, just diagnosed with Crohns late last year. I was prescribed 4 capsules of .375 gram once per day in the AM. Ever since I started, about 2 weeks ago I've suffered bad insomnia, averaging about two hours a night of sleep. Has anyone else had the same effect?

Hello and welcome to the forum
It is quite possible that your system is protesting and maybe it is a possible
Drug reaction
Is it the only drug you are taking
It would be a good idea to let your doctor know so that it can be reviewed and possibly modified

Hello and thanks for the reply.

Unfortunately no I am on 11 other meds that are prescription meds (For OAB, seizure disorder, blood clotting issue, etc.). The only med that has changed, though, is the addition of the Apriso. Everything else has remained constant, so that's why I am thinking it is some kind of reaction to the med. Before I went on the med both my PCP and my Gastroenterologist did a check and did not see any possible drug/drug interactions with meds I had been currently on, so I thought perhaps it is just my body interacting with the med itself?
