Hi Team. It's been around a year since I posted last. Much has happened. I have had exhaustive tests by 5 Gastro specialists, the same result and diagnosis. I have most of the symptoms of IBD, but I do not 'have' IBD, and there is nothing more they can do for me. Prednisone is the only medication that switches off all my symptoms - within days. So, I have had to choose between literally dying slowly for the next 30 years with uncontrolled disease, or take high doses of Pred and have quality of life for the next 2 to 5 years, then sucombe to the dire side effects it brings. I have chosen the latter. Sometimes we have to make tough choices in life :0)

What autoimmune disease do you have, if you don´t mind me asking?
I'm very sorry for all your are going through. I do hope they find medication that is effective and brings fewer side effects than prednisone.

Hi. The specialists cannot identify the autoimmune disease I have. They could run a whole lot more tests, but I would have to be off all meds, meaning I would be very sick. I have decided I have had more than enough tests and trials of drugs and diets.
