Hi
My 15 year old son was diagnosed 3 years ago and took 2 years of Aza until Oct 13 when his white blood cell became too low. He has been off it 4 months and we still have white blood cell count slightly below normal and suddenly out of th eblue we have a liver blood slightly elevated. This is unusual for him. He is beign referred for ultrasound of the liver and the spleen and other liver bloods. If this is all ok he will be referred to the haemotologist.
I am worried sick about this development as he is doing brilliantly on EN and limited food - no meds.
Anyone shed any light on this please? I never thought the AZA could cause issues once you were off it - maybe I am being ignorant.
