Hi all,

I like success stories but unfortunately this isn't one.

After being on Azathioprine 100mg for over 8 months it was decided i would come off them as they were not working.

It looks like they made my fatigue A LOT worse also.

No luck.

Currently waiting for my colonoscopy to see the state and see what treatment i'll be undergoing next.

Peace

Hi there,
Azathioprine caused Pancreatitis with me, so then I was put on Methotrexate injections after being on steroids for a while. That did not reduce the inflammation, so eventually I agreed to Infliximab infusions. I am currently well. It takes time and trial and error, to find the right meds for you. We all are individuals in our response to treatment. I hope you are soon doing better and well. Best wishes.

Hello and welcome:)

Sorry to hear the meds haven't worked so far but on the bright side there are others to try and hopefully you won't have to wait too long for the colonoscopy, then a treatment plan can be worked out. When do you hope to have the it done? Have you been diagnosed long? I know it's miserable hanging around waiting for things to happen so hope you don't have to for too much longer. Good luck, please keep in touch and let us know how you get on.:ghug:

I have my Colonoscopy in two weeks :) I was told i have crohn's in 2012 (can't remember the exact date).

I really do hope they get a medication sorted that works for me. My main issue is the fatigue and general ughhh feeling. Really hard to get through a working day feeling like that.

Pred worked well, but as you know, we can't stay on the forever.

Jamie XD

Hi there,
I hope all goes well for you. Add Roses lime juice cordial to your prep med drink, as this makes it more palatable. It does take time to get the right meds for you. Even meds have their side effects. I tire easily too. Best wishes.
