After being off Humira for nearly 18 months, I'm excited to be back in the club.
I initially started before I left the States in August 2009, but stopped after I moved to the UK because the NHS is a bit picky about funding the medicine, and wouldn't even let me see a consultant until I'd be living here for 12 months. Luckily, my GI consultant is quite good, and agreed that my Crohn's was severe enough to warrant the prescription. Fingers crossed it does the trick and finally beats this flare into submission...the prednisolone just isn't cutting it any more, and I'm not quite ready for a third surgery!
I have to admit, I was shaking when I was doing to loading doses this morning--seems you never forget how much these injections can sting.
