Back To Work Hooray!

Thought it might be nice to post some good news...

I got the all clear to return to work on the 20th August by Occ Health and my GP earlier this week.

I will be starting on 4 hour days and gradually increasing to 7.5 over the coming weeks. Occ Health want to review me half way through my week at 6hrs again to see how I am doing.

Have a meeting with my boss next tues to plan what stuff I will pick up initially and have been well lectured by everyone about not overdoing after being off sick for 4mths now. Don't think I will have the chance to be naughty with so many folk keeping tabs on me!!

In some ways am looking forward to it and in others am too used to having all day to myself :tongue:

Got word last monday my cons wants me to stay on remicade 8 weekly for the next year and am happy enough about that as since the third infusion it really seems to be helping on many fronts. I go back to see him 24th Sept for review. Things finally seem to be coming together at long last....

Congratulations! Wow, 4 months is a long time to be off. That's good that your boss and everyone understand your situation and will be looking out for you.

D Bergy, any ideas as to what else I can get up to to extend my vacation?? I havent a clue *looks innocent*.

Will keep you all posted as to how it goes - am getting a bit nervous now but thats ok and know I will be fine.

Congrats, I too went back to work about 6 months ago. It's tiring but better than sitting home depressed and bored outta your mind. Don't get me wrong though, there's times when I'm like "I NEED A BREAK" and wish I could stay home for about a week..Good Luck
